Haven't been to HK during the CNY period, but I can imagine it being crowded as fuck. I was there for a week after Xmas and into the New Year and it was way too crowded already. It was like Sydney on new years eve everywhere I went. Can't say I enjoyed it. The moment you stepped out of your hotel it was like a constant battle with the crowds. Felt like the only respite was when I went punting :cool2:

Stay over the TST side next time bro, it's got much better choice. The HK island side, whilst flashy and new, is a tad sterile for my liking. I had a couple of sneaky punts in HK whilst my wife went shopping. There are shops everywhere. At first I wasn't sure where to look, but I was guided by one of brother maximpact's threads here and also a website (I think it was 141.com).
