Many years ago I went to see my GP about a cold or flu or something and my usual GP wasn't in, but an Indian locum doctor was in instead.
He gave me a medical certificate for 4 days off work really easily which was great (Indian doctors are good for easy medical certificates too, no questions asked) and then totally out of the blue he asks me if I want a prescription for Viagra, I said no not really, but he gave me a free sample and wrote me a prescription anyway! WTF!
Anyway I didn't use them because I don't believe in performance enhancing drugs. I am the Mr Natural of Sex.

Airport staff are looking for commercial or trafficking quantities. I take a bunch of personal meds and vitamins when i travel (and i used to travel A LOT) and have never been questioned either in Oz or another country. However you do need to be aware of the regulations in different countries. What is ok in Oz may be illegal in other countries. For example, Codeine often used in cold/flu pills is illegal in some countries.

Definitely agree with the above, food really affects the takeup of Viagra and less so with Cialis. Also, your best bet these days is to get it from a GP. I used to buy it online, but for the past 6 weeks, can't get anything delivered, due to the terrible situation in India (a lot, if not most, generics are made there). I went to the GP recently to get a prescription, and while there is the usual lecture about dosage and side-effects and then blood pressure checks, it was not too bad. The price for a box of 4 20mg Cialis is $40 for the generics (or twice for a name-brand), which is about 2x the price of the generics online, but at least you can get them immediately. Viagra is similarly at a low price. Getting locally from a GP is pretty much the only option now, unless you want to wait 2 months+ (or perhaps longer) for a delivery
