I mean there's a lot of effort involved in dating apps. Most people on it are looking for a relationship not a one night stand. Seeing a WL is easy as you literally can just go when you have some time, pay and then instantly get laid.

Nothing is free. You pay now or you pay later. ML/WL is always cheaper in the end, and as the other monger said, you can punch above your weight with a WL

So true you need time for dating sites. Then after all the effort and spending the time you may not get a decent shag. With punting is transactional you choose, you pay, you receive, you walk out. Well there may be regrets later on but at least you are even.
