Need help with WeChat "help friend log in"

I have had a Wechat account from years ago, and I left it unused for ~3 years until I recently wanted to use it again. Now however it says my account is blocked because "unusual activity was detected on your account".

It says I need a friend's Wechat account to "Help Friend Log In" to verify my identity and unblock my account.

Is there anyone with a Wechat account willing to help me with this? I understand you just need to have a normal functioning Wechat account that is >6 months old.

I just had that issue. I have 2 mobile phones sims - 1 for real frens, 1 for punting frens and have 1 wechat for each sim.
Newais, the punting frens one had the same error as yours. I used my real frens 1 try to unlock it but you need to have been frens before hand.

So Krnboy is not you wechat fren now, so he can't help you unlock.

So i just bought another prepaid sim and created another wechat for punting frens.
