Tax ?? Booked with JS several times and haven't added "tax"? Jetstar site says "Prices include all airfare-related fees and taxes." These fares will be carry on baggage only (10kg) so you'll pay extra for check-in baggage. I think there's a credit card surcharge but I pay by direct deposit which doesn't incur any extra fees. Check for yourself, but I'm pretty sure if you had just carry-on baggage, don't care where you sit and pay direct deposit, this is what you'll pay. Fares are for travel last week July-Sept 19 for the direct flight. The "hop to it sale" ends March 25.

Now Tiger prices I do find quite dodgy...quoted price...great!...oh plus Passenger Movement Charge, Safety and Security Charge, Passenger Services Charge 1, Passenger Service Charge 2 ...etc..WTF?? Not playing oneupmanship mate but the Jetstar prices seem more "upfront" to me as long as you factor in extra for checked bags. They've extended the "hop to it sale" til midnight today BTW.

"GST or VAT is currently charged at 0% on fares or fees relating to International journeys. For flights wholly within Domestic Australia, GST applies."

From the Tigerairways www.

I would think that Tiger is cheaper. I fly a lot domestically and have found them routinely cheaper than webjet. On two occasions I have flown for as little as one dollar.

Even after you add any hidden charges, I suspect they will still be cheaper.

Another tip I've heard is to delete your cookies because airline sites keep track of how many times you visit the site and the coding will increase the price as you keep hitting the site. Kinda a way to lure people in.
Cannot verify this but it wouldn't surprise me if it were true.
