Despite being a good Catholic boy, yesterday I went for a punt even though it was Good Friday
I remember Sister Rosemary of St Francis Parish telling me when I was 12yo after I fingered a girl :
"rooter you are bad to the core and will do a lot of bad things in your life but remember Jesus died for your sins and no matter how much you sin, Jesus will always love you".
I took that as a blank cheque to be the baddest, most sinful fucker ever, otherwise Jesus would have died for nothing!
Anyway after punting on Good Friday I was wondering if punters have taboo days where they won't punt eg religious days, wedding anniversary etc
Or maybe you have a good story about how you gave in to temptation and punted on a taboo day.

Its funny that you mention this rooter. I was contemplating the same thing at Ginza yesterday waiting for Cassie

Any guilt that I felt quickly disappeared when session started... I must be destined for hell :)

WTF???? Ginza was open Good Friday???, they're usually closed public holidays I missed out.

I think Xmas is probably the only day I will say no to punting.

Far from being hesitant to punt on Good Friday, the thought not to didn't even occur to me.

But many others apparently were hesitant. When I rocked down to 64 at the relatively modest hour of 11pm, they were shut. Not enough punters! It was ironic - as it is a Christian holiday - that all I could see to comfort me behind the shut windows was the peaceful red glow of their little Confucian shrine.

Although I have no issue (as Animus does) with punting on Valentine's Daty, there are quite a few other anniversary days during the year when I wouldn't even think of doing it.

For example:.

The Feast of St Stephen

The anniversary of the Yom Kippur war, (Oct.6th 1973)

Sala a' din's Sacking of Jerusalem, June 7th, 1099

Moses's Parting of the Waters, 1313BC (about 9am)

But there is one anniversary that I make it my duty and obligation to punt on - that of Joh Bjelke-Petersen banning brothels in Qld in April 1987.

I don't have any taboo days, I pretty much punt when I feel like it.
The only day I don't remember doing it is Xmas day, hang on I think I may have done it once a very long time ago on xmas day after coming back from the beach and remembering some nice tanned almost naked female bodies...

Wedding anniversary?

You are probably correct !! Mmm Yes I think so :)
Respect and reverence for that special occasion between two people that share many joint beliefs (if not fidelity - which is a religious invention) still has its place - even for horny punters !!
