So I'm new to Syd and although I'm working I'm not making the money I want/need. I've done a lot of planning and research and am interested in finding a partner or set of ladies who are interested in working on making money by distributing adult videos online starring themselves.

I'm not interested in partaking in it but would edit, write, direct etc because I have all the equipment and technical knowledge, just no contacts.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can go about pursuing this? Like who to contact and where?

Interesting idea. The only Australian based porn company I've heard of is abby winters, and while I thought they were closed down by the authorities, the wiki says they preemptively moved offshore. Perhaps they're worth contacting just for some general info.

I already made the movie with Penne of TMC.

Great money shot with cum dribbling down her neck. I'll give you 5% for distribution.

Quite high if they keep doing it. I mean, I'm not looking to exploit anyone - just work together to run a business selling a product. I don't have the product, they do, but I have all the other credentials ready to go. With my distribution method you can start making money literally as soon as the video is done, it is perpetual income (as in people will keep buying it if it is good) so we're taking $1000-$5000/month depending on how well it takes off and how much we are able to work on it.

Thanks for the suggestion on Abby Winters, will look into it.

Like, the shops here, how do they find their girls? Just through contacts? I've seen ads on Craigslist and cracker here and there but I was hoping for a more adult oriented and populous marketplace. Should I go down to kings cross and just talk to people? lol

Agree with Rooter. Seems like these days all it takes is for one person to upload the video and there is your income pretty much gone.

You could beat them to the punch by finding a site that will allow you to monetise through schemes similar to YouTube's partnership program.

I'm not 100% sure if those sites exist, but nothing surprises me anymore on the internet.

Girls Gone Wild just filed for chapter 11. I kind of have to agree with rooter, there is no longer money in porn.

With so much free porns readily available on the net, I don't think if there is still money to be made by the new comers!!

I don't know if any one pays for porn these days.
I used to from vhs, dvd to Blurays.
I think they now get their money from internet subscriptions, but
the amount of free stuff available- though illegal - is amazing

That may also have had to do with trying to avoid a huge number of lawsuits brought against the company for various dastardly deeds.

You'll note that Vivid, etc. are still going strong.

Yeah, it's kind of strange to me too but again it's all about distribution. I already know HOW to monetize it, that's not the issue. And people DO buy porn. It's similar, I guess, to video games and movies. No one really needs to but they still buy them. And maybe lots of people don't have bittorent or need it. That's actually one of my main points - I don't want to shoot random porn, I want to create a following with one specific "starlet" as that is one solid way to keep people coming.

That's true to a degree. They did however still have ~$16mill in debts.

I think the main reason the vivids of the world survive is due to having enough success in the past few decades and using this profit to diversify and ride out a few years of loss that comes with it.

The porn industry has definitely taken a huge hit from free streaming website (redtube, pornhub, etc.) as well as piracy in general (torrenting, forums)... I think it will be really hard to make a nice passive income...

On another note, how much can you pay the female "actress" to get fucked and then expose herself all over the Internet ? Unless she is a real exhibitionist or a novice from North Korea who has no idea ! $5,000? $10,000 ?

she can easily make that money by working privately in a FS shop with her privacy protected! And I suppose if she is good enough to be a porn actress then she would be pretty hot, so she has lots of options!

Just my two cents

Cheers

There's still money in porn. Not sure if the subscription model still works though. Perhaps a micro transaction site would work better. I.e. billing for 99c per scene.

Not looking to employ anyone! Just looking for a partner(s). I don't subscribe to the business model of employees for my personal taste. I prefer people to reap the full rewards of their work.

I read it somewhere that a porn actress makes around $2000 per movie, and she might have to BBFS 5 guys in it. Unless she's already a star. And a male actor makes about $200-$300 only !

That's about right.
Also porn actresses do porn to make a name for themselves so they can then charge alot more as strippers and escorts.
Most of their income is made from work as strippers and escorts and promotional work rather than from the actual movies.

This concept has been done before but doesn't mean there isn't a market for it.

And agree with the other punters who talk about them using porn as advertising for their other services. The question is, who would script the scenes and who would work in the background. There are camera crew, editors, lighting, makeup artists etc.

All technically demanding and specialised roles.

Not to mention the male lead who must be able to cum on command. Wait, hasn't one of the punters on here been able to cum 8 times in a day or something?

I think the OP was looking at the amateur / solo / softcore niche - easier to find partners and less likely to get anyone in shit with the law (you can not make hardcode porn in Australia)

My best guess would be that the OP would dig though www.modelmayhem.com for local talent, and have to pay the girl upfront. Distribution would be a combination of a simple subscription site hosted offshore and per video sales through sites like www.clips4sale.com. You will have a butt load of work for which you will make chump change. You'd have the small chance of making money if you can tap some bizarre fetish that is under cattered for, though you'd need to put more on the line as models for a nude planking site will surely want to be paid 100% upfront.

Alternatively, go to a country where hardcore porn can be shot legally, get a hot freaky nympho girlfriend with a kink for exhibitionism, and shoot the nastiest most unique porn you both can imagine and stomache. Put teaser clips on all the free streaming sites, and get active in whatever forums make sense for promotion. Spend 5 hours a day searching for porn, your porn, and sending DCMA / take down notices from your lawyer alter ego.

Hi Bro,

I agreed with some Bros that you are about 10 years too late.
I knew some people that have adult books shop and their business are in serious trouble as most of their customers do not spend the money for movies as much as before.
The Toys and stuffs still sell well but not the movies (movies are the most profitable). The free xxx sites are really kill these business.

In MHO, you better open a massage shop then making porn.

Cheers

Or start an outcall escort agency, if you got the right girls and charge the right prices, it can be profitable!!
