I may be going out with a WL who doesn't speak much English - anyone got ideas as to what to do apart from dinner/clubbing?

Also, do you hold hands with ML/WLs you go out with? Do you call them by their work names?

Go picnic, art gallery, museum, take ferry trip around harbour, aquarium, go watch footy, hire bike go riding, go blue mojntains, do some wine tasting visits, gamble at casino, play tennis or badmington, go swimming, ice skating, go timezone play games, go bowling, go karoake, take her home do some cooking or bake a cake, play mini golf, visit zoo, watch a pub band, go to watch a musical play or concert.

Your first time obviously and you are asking so want to make an impression no doubt, what a gentleman!

If English is an issue, my guess is she is either Chinese or Korean, i think the key is to make her comfortable and show her a good time, do something she likes to do, things like dinner in. Chinese or Korean restaurant and let her do the order (oh just a word of advice, dont go to those Chinese restaurant with big live fish and lobster tanks, you may not want to spend that much in dinner), then follow by dessert and karaoke . You dont have to be a good singer but most Asian girl can sing, and after a few of her favourite songs and a bit of alcohol, things will be lightening up and most ice will be broken.

Usually if you show her a good time, she will show you one too, if you dont score on the first date, probably in the next, make sure she has fun and there will be a next time. And you will probably be very well rewarded next time you see her in the shop.

With weather picking up I'd definitely go picnic. Get rug, cushions and a blanket. Stop off at fish markets for choice seafoods and some cruzers. Then find a nice park. If language is issue, get an app for your smartphone and have some fun teaching each other some words which you can use in SMS later.

Depends on what she likes talk to her best you can keep it fun! One girl I take out likes to work on learning English and photography and seeing sights of Sydney, even took her to Canberra to see sights be careful as she may not want to spend hours in a museum if she struggles with English so be prepared to leave if she gets bored. Go for her you will get to know what she likes and have fun.

Take her for a nice drive down to gong or the entrance on a nice sunny day and for a picnic like other bros have suggested. If you cant be bothered preparing food then Im sure there are nice restaurants by the coastline you can take her too!

Go play some sports with her, movies, take her to eat pancakes and get really fat. Aquarium, play some pool and just improvise along the way.

There's always stuff to do man and when you're out of ideas, just ask her what she wants to do and where she wants to go. Follow her lead and if she says why don't you choose, just tell her that its time for her to decide.

If i like an ML i usually ask for her real name straight away. An easy way to do this is introduce yourself fully (ie. First name/last name) and then ask for their chinese/korean name.

I think handholding and kissing are a must. I ask the girl if i can hold their hand or if i can have a kiss, might sound corny but it works and avoids the awkwardness of an unanticipated approach.

Also - avoid talking about their work, unless they bring it up first, ask questions about themselves that allow them to discuss other aspects of their life and character.

To hold hands depends on the both of you the girl I go out with is a lot younger than me so we tend not to hold hand if anyone else is about we just act like good friends but thats ok we still have the passion and affecton when we are in private.
