Noticed that more shops have been adopting Westerninzed names for their ladies in the past few weeks.
Look at the rosters and count how many "Amy's" are now available.

Classic bandwagon mentality or good business sense?

Hey, I'm all for choice. Just sayin'...

Amy is popular ! Really ??

I thought these names are popular:

Coco, Jojo, Yoyo

Cici, Mimi, Kiki

As well, and Tiffany and Lisa !

I would have thought it just makes good business sense to use the names that are popular.

though to be honest i don't see this trend in the forum threads.

Good business sense is to use a name that stands out, one of a kind that people will talk about and remember, not a common name !

Just look at Page 1 of General Talk and you'd see what I mean.

Also 'popular' indicates a snapshot in time. I am talking about trends - so more like moving snapshots. Months ago, this forum was littered with Asian kitty's on advert threads.
This has visibly changed.

Personally, I hope this name trending continues to evolve. I'd want to be able to root a WL someday named "DeepWell TightFlower" or "SoftMelon ButterMilk".
