If you are opening a massage shop shortly, your market research should already be complete to support your business case! It sounds like you are entering a business on risky, or is it risqué grounds. Good Luck you'll need it!!

Care factor = zero !!!

I don't understand this. Shouldn't we all get excited at the prospect of having a new good quality shop in our town ?

Either works. Hopefully if the market is flooded with shops, then each place needs to work harder and maybe become more competitive in their pricing to remain in business. That's the theory anyway. The more the merrier IMO.

Lets see how competitive this new shop is. $60/h is competative.. Loyalty Card get the 9th one free is competative. Chilled bottle of water or can of drink on arrival is competative. Also a legit shop is competative as no tips required. A seasoned punter wouldn't open a non legit shop knowing what goes on behind the scenes would he? *Seriously though I wish you well in your endeavor.

Agree, competition is always great for the punter. :grimace:

A good girl management system. A HR system that encourages and respects the girls, teaching them how to look after the punter (therefore looking after the owner). How to deal with all of the various situations they will come across rather than hoping they can work it out. A support system for the girls development.

agree to BS. Most of the girls are pretty naive and new to the country. Some particular shop owners give very little protection to their staff in terms of dealing with bad clients

It all comes down to what competitive edge you have compared to your competitors, is it the service or facilities or pricing/marketing. Pricing may initiate the interaction but if your service don't match you will find swings in your customer flow rate. Another issue is how well owners treat their staff, this could be in terms of guidance or pay. If you are the same as any other shop, what makes a staff want to provide a better attitude and stay with your shop? They are all related so good luck :)

Any hints as to when and where this shop may be opening. How about mentioning the secret phrase BRIS99 PUNTER and recieving the opening special.

maybe learn from Star Massage.

crappy overpriced but has been going strong for a few years!

learn also from some other popular massage shops like GTM, Cloud 9, Amore haha

in my observation Cloud9 is going strong, Amore is going nowhere, GTM is going bananas unless something is done

Actually, you don't need any advice to open a massage shop in Brisbane. It is a sellers market. There are too many of us silly enough to keep coming back - even at ridiculous prices (and service).

This is a great idea.

A great idea, even if it's thru appointment only and there's a special charge for this

I'd pay an extra 20 to get some relaxation on the way to work.
