After all of the positive mentions that my favourite Sian massage place was receiving I didn't think that it would fit into my plans so I kept on driving further south along the highway.
I didn't end up driving too far as the northbound side of the highway is littered with Massage signs. On my last trip I dropped into the Thai Massage place (located in this old Mortgage Choice office (https://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=pacific+fair,+gold+coast&hl=en&ll=-28.046342,153.43523&spn=0.011079,0.021136&sll=-27.40739,153.002859&sspn=1.426379,2.705383&t=m&z=16&layer=c&cbll=-28.0462,153.435195&panoid=2b2qqeKS3NgI4dons0cRlw&cbp=12,249.87,,0,5.28)) and had an excellent 30 minute massage.
My first stop was Oriental Relaxation massage just northside of the Mandarin Court restaurant (https://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=pacific+fair,+gold+coast&hl=en&ll=-28.049485,153.436003&spn=0.011078,0.021136&sll=-27.40739,153.002859&sspn=1.426379,2.705383&t=m&z=16&layer=c&cbll=-28.049794,153.436077&panoid=V8HdSy4Rfzy0_79FVHPwJg&cbp=12,258.76,,1,-10.23). This place has all the good signs, asian feel, garish flashing neon light, exhaustive massage menu. Once I was inside my thoughts soon changed. Ladies in massage uniforms and white court shoes. Oh well, I can do with a massage anyway. Onto the massage table, towel over my back and a towel over my head. The towel over the head is really the nail in the happy ending coffin. Had a really excellent massage for $35 for 30 minutes. Recommend this place to take your gf and wives to add legitimacy to all of the other massage joints. Please update this thread if anyone has had extras here.
My next stop heading north was Asian Massage & Beauty. Looks and feels like a new setup. The shop is located here (https://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=pacific+fair,+gold+coast&hl=en&ll=-28.044467,153.434908&spn=0.011079,0.021136&sll=-27.40739,153.002859&sspn=1.426379,2.705383&t=m&z=16&layer=c&cbll=-28.044571,153.434796&panoid=HaIvwcf67L3PNgq4rbtgZQ&cbp=12,269.54,,0,9.14). Classic Thai staff in shorts and TShirts. I was quickly shown to the front massage room, looked like about 5-6 rooms at least available but I think I was the only customer. The young lady set about giving me a good serious massage with playful undertones. Good fun for 30 minuets of massage for $35 + tip.
Another wonderful day of work on the Gold Coast with a few moments for the hobby during lunch.
Can recommend the latter, can dodge the former.
