It has been suggested that if we want to avoid reading shop spam, we should select the GENERAL TALK prefix at the top of the GT sub-forum.

But when I did it this morning, the first three posts I saw were adverts from TP64.

I'm not surprised that a prolific God Member wants to defect to the opposition, and was that just a bait?

When someone posts a thread, he selects the Prefix to put on the thread. If TP64 selected General Talk instead of Shop info or Girl info, there's not much we can do about it ! How many shops are doing this ? And how many TP64 threads you have to bypass ?

You can ask them not to do it? Doesn't the site have rules like most other forums do?

Once one site starts doing this, the others will want to follow.

Hi Mate,

We all have a say in the past few days. had some arguments among ourselves, let off some steams. So anyone feeling any better ??

All the threads are now closed, nothing has changed and probably nothing will ever change, some owners like MOC may toned down a bit, we should thank Duncan for leading by example and willingness to listen to the punters. I spoke with Candy yesterday and QVB has now only posted in two threads instead of 6 or 7, when I see Foxy next time, I'll ask her to do the same. So a few advertisers will do their bit to reduce the amount of spams. It's up to the other active shops if they won't mind to show a bit of good faith !!

We can only hope.

Cheers

Why me ? You can ask them if you like ! ;) ;) ;)

On the other hand, I think we all have to learn to be more tolerant !

The Prefix function has been there since the start of the forum, although some has found it by themselves very early, but most are not aware of its existence. In the last 6 months, the site administrators have tried tirelessly to educate people to make use of it, but most people are still ignoring it, hence the complaints in the last few days !

So if we can't tolerate one little slip up by TP64, how can it be fair for the administrators to tolerate the complaints ?

For what it's worth, I peruse the forums almost daily just for a read or participate occasionally in some discussions. I literally just ignore and scroll past all those threads. I think it's the shops own loss as a lot of people will do just that, ignore the threads. So I say, be a little tolerant and just ignore.

My 2c

I like this forum for ifs less restricted. Everyone has a lot more freedom shops & punters. I think if everyone post too much crap is abusing it. Not a little but too much from everyone, punters & shops . Just my opinion

Admin has taken some actions by banning an advertiser.
There are still few that are continuing to bump up but it's not that bad.
Atleast you can now find a decent amount of informative ARs on the first page & it's not that irritating any more
