I think it's a Sydney term thats crept north via pimps. I remember seeing it classified ads when I was living down there about a decade ago. There's always been a fair few ads on locanto that use the term, again I think they're pimp ads. It's become more commonly used recently though. I think I first saw it used in Sydney about 1998-99 or thereabouts.
