After Reports - Why do we write them?

Thought this would be an interesting question to ask the forum.
When you write an AR, why are you doing so?


Is it to relive the experience ?
Is it to provide guidance to others on quality WLs and MLs ?
Is it to share a WL or ML that you have discovered ?
Is it to win brownie points with the girl or the shop ?
Is it to write fiction ?
Is it something else entirely ?
