What you dont state, nor explain, is why almost every single post, has 10-50 times more views than people posting

The relatively unremarkable thread with title "Hue Massage Wilston review", written only 6 hours ago, has 153 views, and only 1 post at 23.2.2105, 930pm

This has been the case for a long time, it makes you wonder why shops keep spamming AR threads.
Probably better to spend time keeping the rosters up to date with good descriptions photos and links to ARs.

Why not ? It doesn't matter how well one form of advertisement works, it still can improve its result by having other forms of advertisements.

Just like TV ads, it's the most effective and far reaching way to advertise, but the advertisers still put ads on newspapers and billboards etc etc ...

Not necessarily lurkers without accounts, Aus99 doesn't need visitors to log in to access 90% of its contents, so most non posters just wouldn't bother to log in while browsing.

I'll be honest, if I see a place spamming the forum I will think twice about returning.

Eg, I've been to silverfox and qvb and written positive reviews. But I see so much bumping that I don't go to either anymore.

I've been going to Choon lately, but if they start ramping up their bumping I'll reconsider going there too.

So on that point in really happy that most of the to posts are from the roster section, though some of them bump a lot.

I'll admit I'm a bit like that too; reminds me of seeing Dodo internet ads almost every time I turn on the TV a few years back. I go through reviews here and there randomly and more than half are bumps of old threads by the shop owners. It's annoying and sometimes I click to read comments so it's a waste of time when I see a shop's comments about their roster and all. I also generally skip going through the General Discussion section as it's just the shops introducing who's on and who's new. Sure, it's a form of marketing/advertising but as a "discussion forum", I just wish I can see more discussion on the first page of each section as opposed to just ad posts.

The humble feeling is mutual !

I must say I had high hope of the SL thread reaching the half million mark some times in the future until madam Vicky decided it's better for herself to take care of her own rosters !! Any way, I think my other RnT thread will probably over take her soon !!

Too bad some of the threads had to be terminated and then restarted from scratch : like 55 George and it's subsequent shops at one time had reached 100,000 views each ! Before they were deleted !

The reason I bring this up is because I still think my old model of one consolidated thread for the one shop may be better off than every shop owner starting 3, 4 or 5 new threads everyday !

Some of these threads just disappeared with only a handfull of views !

In the good old days when Newtown 501 just had the one mother of all threads and little Snow Lotus was slowly building ! Compare to what we have now ........
