I heard on the radio today (Saturday 28 February 2015) that Cebu airlines has really cheap trips to the Phillippines
No sure how long this sale is going for

I think this is the website, but let me know if Im wrong

https://book.cebupacificair.com/Search.aspx

Some $600 return trips

Can some brothers let me know if this is an established airline, and how long the special lasts for ?

Another interesting link !

if you google cebupacificair you will find one guys views on this airline and it may help explain why the price is so low!

Im not surprised, and to be honest, there is probably no guarantee the flight will actually arrive at the destination, given recent history

However, $600 return is hard to argue with, particularly if the Phillippines is as nice as is continually reported

High returns are usually not possible without risk ; )

Peace

Very good call

I will also suggest bringing one's own black box

CebuAir has been offering cheap flights for a while now.

I can't comment on their safety record, but I have read that they have one the smallest seat pitches in the industry, so if you don't mind being cramped up for 8 or so hours, go for it.

That may be Ok for small Asian people but not much good to Aussies!

All reports suggest that even Phillippines nonworking ladies are very kind and relaxed, even more so than Thai women

The link I included suggest Phillippino ladies make the best brides - Lang Hancock probably agrees, but Gina Rinehart, thats another question

They have even better prices than that sometimes but you have to be quick. They did a $250 return special couple months ago and I bought 3 tickets for this year. I've flown with them a few times and they're fine. The aircraft are all brand new and good safety record though flights sometimes a little late. As mentioned they do fit a lot of seats in but you can choose preferential seating for an extra $30 and get all the leg room you need. Prices have gone up and service has gone down at the bar areas but you can still get overnight with a stunner for about $100. It's a different scene, you tend to hang out with the girls more, not just fuck them. It's very gfe Even with the porn stars. They all have friends to bring along too.

That was a bit confusing, I thought you were talking about bar areas on the plane when I first read it.

Didn't they teach you about paragraphs in English classes LOL.

That info is pure gold, yellow_fever. Thanks for posting. Just one thing to add. There *is* a lot of crime over there. Lots of it happens to locals tho. But if you're white, consider yourself a huge target so be careful. Don't be a sucker. Watch out for drinks being spiked. Be nice, and a little tip goes a long way.

Um, nope. More than a third of marriages break down (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Divorce_demography)over there. You are better off marrying a Thai or Viet girl. Guess I answered my own question.

Agree, quite useful tips for those who are unfamiliar with the PI mongering scene. AC is the go to place for VFM punting...for greenhorns.

But once you learn how to use sites like these:

http://pinaywalks.com/

...you'd be expatriating yourself in no time.

Wtf. I met a lady from my friends Church, who heard I was interested in going to the Phillippines
This lady is very religious, so is just help me from a friendship side of things
She had already organised a break for work, and is going there in mid May 2015
She has paid a bit more with the flights, so she could take 20kg of luggage

Interesting emails:
She offered to invite me with her, purely as friends, for her visit to her relatives there
Check out the emails

EMAIL 01:

If you still want to visit the Philippines, please let me know. There is an ongoing promo in Cebu Pacific, less than $300 return Sydney-Manila-Sydney (including flight, 20k luggage and meal)
The only thing is you need to be in the Philippines from 22-31 May so I can be your tour guide.
I need to spend time with my family from 15-20 May. My flight back to Sydney is 31 May.

Suggested itinerary:
22-25 May BORACAY
This is a famous tourist spot. My colleague in Sydney and her friends will be going there, Plus my friend from Singapore and her husband will also be in Boracay on these dates. Would be fun. You can google the place if u like or you can ask your Filipino friend. I will take one of my brothers to the trip so you have someone to talk to if u get bored of my stories https://www.rsvp.com.au/images/emoticons-new20x20/Happy20x20px.png

25-27 May CEBU
I was told this is a nice place. It's 45 mins flight from Boracay.
My friend from Singapore has a house there and they're offering me their place and a day tour in Cebu. They fly back to Singapore on 26 May pm but can always see other cities there on the 27th.

27-28 May MANILA
If you'd like to go shopping and see the city. Could meet up with my colleagues too for night out.

29 May - I will leave it with you to decide.
31 May flight back to Sydney.

Pls let me know of your decision because I need to make travel arrangements for the Boracay and Cebu trip this weekend.
Regards

EMAIL 02:

If u like, we can share the accommodation in Boracay. It's cheaper.
My brother will be with us in Boracay so u need not worry about being with me in one room. Heheh.
I can do the booking so its close to my friends' hotel.

Cebu for one night is free. My friend offered her place.
Need to book for one night in Cebu but I will ask my friend for a good place.
I guess u only need to book your accommodation in Manila. I could find a place for you. There are cheap ones, $50 per day. there are also those near the Manila bay. Which are good.

______

I have 2 questions
Firstly, what do people think of the places she is going to ?
Secondly, what can you say to your family, girlfriend/partner, for the time away ?

A good chance to check out the nightlife
She also told me there are a lot of pickpockets in Manila. Stating the obvious for any big city, I know
Dont take a bag with your around the city
Thieves are known to just unzip your bag while you are on escalators etc, and putting their hands in your bags to see what they can find !!
She said in comparison, there is no pickpocketing in Australia

YI88

Harmony,

Your Philippine church friend obviously knows plenty about the place and her advice is just about what I would have given.

Of course you will be tempted sometimes. It may be difficult to go out hunting without your friend, and difficult to bring anyone back to your room. On the other hand, when the brother is missing (and he will probably want to spend time at the corner shop drinking beer) she might well suggest a quick one, so keep some protection with you at all times!

Cebu used to be a beautiful and relaxed old city but now too many people can afford cars so it is harder to move around. Still worth a visit.

Thanks bro YI88
I literally just got these emails overnight, and now you mention it, the possible eventualities are very interesting !

Haha, I honestly have met this lady once, and it is a little strange that she sent me the emails, and gave me this offer
It is a little rushed, I have to say
And the absence from Sydney needs an explanation (my existing casual job position, etc)

She is a Church lady, and far be it from me to tempt her
Obviously she fancies me a little, to want to travel together, but she may be expecting a year long courtship from now, before even kissing
I dont know if my girlfriend would appreciate that
Who knows. I dont know the lady at all, and she is older than me, apart from one meeting
But Im sure you'd agree, I dont think it is going to be a good idea to ask her to show me the 'bars and clubs'
Although you never know. I am a dumb tourist, after all

I have never been to the Phillippines before, and clearly its great to go for your first time either with friends (AUS99) or with locals !

Time will tell
Will keep you posted
I am posting this, for peoples information

The main dilemma for me at the moment, is explaining the absence to my casual job boss, etc

I read the emails in a little more detail, and this sounds interesting:
"My friend from Singapore has a house there and they're offering me their place and a day tour in Cebu. They fly back to Singapore on 26 May pm but can always see other cities there on the 27th. "
A house to myself. Pretty sweet.

Don't let being a "church lady" deter you.

I have had a few "religious" girls in the past and this hasn't suppressed their sexual urges. They screw themselves silly on Friday night, then run off to confession on Saturday; their God forgives them and it is OK again for next Friday.

Another email:

If you want to do diving, you can also go to a place in Cebu called Moalboal.

We might change the Cebu leg of the trip
We can instead go to the Northern part of Philippines
There are places like:

Ilocos Sur - the Spanish influence has been preserved in one of the streets there (Calle Crisologo)

Ilocos Norte

Baguio - the summer capital of the Philippines. There are also rice terraces if we go further up to Banaue.

Pangasinan - Hundred Islands

Travel to the north is by bus from Manila. Pangasinan is 5 hours from Manila and another 3 hours if you want to go to Baguio or another 4 hours from Pangasinan if u want to go to the Ilocos region.

The only downside (which is always the case) of booking closer to the date of travel is the that airfares are higher. My work colleague paid $110 for Manila to Boracay return flight two months ago(Philippine Airlines). Last time I checked it's gone up by 50% -- around $180 now.

Wow i been to phils a heap of times but only to see my ex. So zero punts. But manila night life live music at bars is awesome. Its depressing dirty and pppr by daylight. I disagree about boracay .its my favourite place anywhere. White sand crystal clear water. Nothing to bite u warm water. Water sports galore. I can recommend boracay beach club 4* place not quite on beach but clean comfortable friendly staff and owners. So many bars and restaurants. To chose from.you can go there and do everything or just chill and do nothing but Yellowfever will ask pointers next trip as ur depth of local pubting knowledge is epic

I am going to the Phillipines in September. A place called Taytay Rizal, not far from Manila.
There is so much good information in Yellow fever's posts.
I want to sample the punting scene while I am there but I have to admit that I am a bit wary of being taken for a ride (pun).
It will be my first time in the Philllipines so I will be a bit inexperienced.
I would feel much safer with a mate or a local that I could trust.

I like Oneonone's idea of a "tour" organised by someone experienced like Yellow fever.
I will be printing out the pages of this thread to take with me.

Before I went to India at the beginning of the year, one of my favourite WLs gave me her sexy panties and a handful of condoms to take with me. Smart Lady Ha Ha.

Thank Garfield. I'll give that a try.
I have looked at a number of "Adult" web sites for Taytay Rizal where I am going.
I will be meeting up with some locals but I did not want them to know that I was looking for WLs.
If the opportunity arises I might ask one of the guys.
When I go overseas I like to take good quality condoms with me.

Yikes - yellow fever has covered it all. Very detailed and some gems in there. Thank you so much.

I couldn't possibly compete in terms of volume and detail, but here are my two cents worth.

Manila - be prepared for a shithole - traffic is horrendous - poverty just abysmal. Getting a cutie to come visit you can be difficult as negotiating the geography requires a lot of local expertise. Avoid would be good advice.

AC and Subic - The thing I didn't initially get right was in the bars to absolutely talk to the girls. The conversation should be like .... hello, how are you, what is your name, do you go with customers, are you a virgin, how many kids do you have, do you suck cock, do you shave your pussy, can I eat you, do you like me, do you like girls etc etc. Then buy them a drink. Lady drinks can be expensive. They speak good english and will answer these questions quite honestly. Condoms are considered to indicate you might think they are dirty. The temptation is very high for BB. Take a supply or buy the quality Japanese 003 okamoto condoms from 7/11's. I find a major issue with AC is where you need to pay the EWR total upfront that means the gal can easily convert LT to ST and/or can be a starfish. See list of questions above. Thailand is better IMHO as you just pay the BF and then pay the gal the balance as agreed in the morning. Oh get a Philippines Addict card and it will give you a discount of bar drinks, food etc. even some EWR's. Kokomo was my fav hangout place to eat and chat to folks. I didn't get to Subic but by all accounts it is more laid back, cheaper, more fun, less hassle, but lower quality girls. Because of the lack of birth control, there are lots of mums in the Philippines. 16 and pregnant is pretty normal. Families of 12 are also the norm.

I have traveled for years to Asia, thought I was pretty experienced but I was pick pocketed in Cebu City last trip. Was with a gal and was careless.

Be relaxed and have a fun time, but be prepared for scams. They are everywhere. I had one gal who couldn't sleep and managed to eat the entire contents of the mini bar snacks, all the booze and souvenir a number of bathroom supplies. I didn't realise this until checkout. Cost more than the EWR. Let me bring my "sister" along is another scam. They are never sisters, and usually the friend is a dog. Can be exceptions but go with the one gal first and then get the "sister" later. Avoid the Viagra/Samsung/Apple phone sales guys. If the Viagra box actually has something in it it is probably non functional. The phones are plastic. You can buy generic viagra at the pharmacy - if you have a prescription. (Short story here. I go to a Cebu City pharmacy in Ayala. Real cutie behind the counter in a starched white uniform. Small, attractive - just my type. I ask for some viagra. She asks for a script. WTF? We chat. We chat more. I really like her. Seems mutual. She gives me her phone number. I get the meds - no script. Gotta love this place).

Some of the better restaurants in Manila are excellent and at or above Sydney standards but expensive. In the islands and provinces - become a vegetarian. Leaving hamburgers out in the sun all day is par for the course.

If you dive/snorkel the islands are excellent. Cebu in particular has an abundance of sea life.

Agoda seems to have the hotel bookings stitched up. Go to a front desk and ask for a discount and they will refer you to Agoda. I'm here now! Nope - book thro Agoda.

Cebu Pacific has a tricky fare system. Seat prices can vary wildly depending on when you want to travel. I've been lucky and had a one way leg Manila-Sydney for $150, but also $400. Seats are unbelievably cramped for a long haul flight. For domestic flights no-one purchases options for checked luggage or orders food. Travel light with hand luggage and the airline food is inedible. Also explore fast ferry options. Schedules for transport like buses are a secret never to be revealed. Websites? What? Why? The locals seem to know - why should we tell foreigners?

Last thing - take earplugs. Roosters and motor bikes are everywhere - even in Manila.

Enjoy.

Thank you AUS99 for all the valuable contributions
I ended up pulling out of the trip with my Phillippines friend, due to timing issues
The country sounds very accessible and interesting, so hope I can take my friend up on a future trip !

This has to be one of the most uplifting threads I have seen here on AUS99
Lots of informed people sharing experience and wisdom, and no attitude
My favourite type of thread

Special thanks to Yellow Fever, but everyone who continues to add their wisdom is much respected

I have a number of friends from my social group who continue to invite me to the lovely Phillippines

An AUS99 delegation would also be a fun holiday

Cheers !

YF knows his shit!
He is the man as far as the Philippines go.
The advice he has posted on the forum and sent me in PMs is solid gold - it will be my "rough guide to the Philippines"

I think the Phillipines is at the top of my sex tour destinations list now, thanks again YF!
I must admit I have never done an OS sex tour, and probably never will, but if I did it would be the Phillipines!

YF - thank you so much for your comments on my post. WTF? The girls will steal the toilet paper? I must nail that down next time .... or put it in the room safe. The mind boggles. Is nothing safe? (Now I think about it my last "GF" stole the towels. Really!)

IMHO there is a tricky choice between Philippines and Thailand. The Philippine girls are overall more "physical". In LT they will just climb all over you. Initially it is great, but sleep is impossible. Some Thais are like that but not so much as RP. Being able to speak English widely in RP is a major plus for newbies. The downside is the poverty, the scams, and the lack of infrastructure like transport .... and working ATM's.

I feel the Thais do a fabulous job of execution of P4P. The go go bars in Pattaya are way in advance of AC in terms of quality and finesse. The Thai food wins hands down.

There is probably the same number of mums with kids in both places. Finding a cutie with a good body and no kids isn't easy in either location.

I had mixed success with FC and DIA. Some terrific girls, some not so much. Needs time on the ground in country.

I guess I'm lucky as I can speak some Thai, and my buddies who love RP can speak Tagalog.

Nothing will beat Phnom Penh in the 2002-2003 era. 18yo Viets, $3 ST, $20 all night and they would boom boom all night. Like ALL night. I had some nights when I thought I wouldn't make it through.

Key point is to be relaxed, have lots of time, be prepared to spend lots of money, explore the boundaries, and enjoy whatever comes up.

Enjoy.
