If this was a stand alone movie ! The lead character Mad Max should be that one armed woman !

The bad guy has 5 wives! All pretty hot but none has big tits !!

The only nudity came from our own Megan Gale , I need to see the movie again to have another look at those long legs and bare bottom !

There was a scene where they were milking the milk from some women with giant tits, more a funny scene than erotic, may be I should help them with the casting !!

This movie is almost non stop action. The whole movie is one long chase sequence. I loved Mad Max: Road Warrior but this one tops it.

And the girls ??

I like this movie so much that I watched it twice.
I think the flamethrower guitarist is damn cool.

http://static.srcdn.com/slir/w786-h393-q90-c786:393/wp-content/uploads/Mad-Max-Fury-Road-Guitar-Player-Doof-Warrior.jpg

I got interested and found out a little more about his background story:

“I knew that George had said that Coma was found by Immortan Joe in a Cave and taken under his wing and he learned to be a musician. I kind of embellished that for myself. Basically, my story was that Coma was found with his mother’s head, after she had been killed, and he was clinging to it and Immortan Joe came and found him and Coma took her face off and made the mask out of her face, to honor her when he went to war.”
(Source: http://screenrant.com/mad-max-fury-road-flame-guitar-doof-warrior-origin-story/)

Coma, fitting name for him considering he is defaced.

The original Mad Max movies were pretty original.
There were some American, European, and Asian movies that had a similar look and vibe but it's fair to say that George Millers vision was pretty original.
There's a lot of Leone, Ford, Stevens, and Kurasawa in Mad Mad I and II but it was still pretty authentic Aussie film making.

Thanks. I will check it out. This film makes me become interested to watch the older Max Max series. Same thing happened after I watched Star Trek Into the Darkness, I ended up watching all the previous star trek movies.
I have a feeling they will be making Twisted Metal the movie soon.

I was wondering how come the movie started off with the guy in the middle of nowhere. And to get caught easily like that, I think he wasnt careful enough. But later on he proved to be very useful especially the part where he destroyed a tank without any tool but a gasoline tank.

GO! is going to air mad max 2 this thursday, 9.45pm. Ill be watching it as per your recommendation.
We should buy a lottery mate.

Mad Max 1 and 2 are classics. 3 is shit. Mad Max defined the post apocalyptic genre, especially visually. 1 is amateurish but the cast and stunts are great.
Fury Road is awesome because it takes it to another level and all the cars and stunts are real. If it was CGI it would be boring as hell.

Mad Max II was the first ever Australian film I ever watched ! I arrived in Brisbane in 1982!

It's was Mel Gibson at his best ! The only thing really missing in this genre was the lack of nudity and big tits women warrior like those busty Amazon type !!

But with the 5 wives and those milking women and a brief nude scene from Megan Gale , MM4 is already ahead of the pack !

If only they would have casted Kate Upton or Brooklyn Decker to play Furiosa !.........haha

Brother Ahlungor, Riley Keough has great pedigree ...

Actress and model Riley Keough is the eldest grandchild of legendary singer Elvis Presley and actress Priscilla Presley.
Her mother is Lisa Marie Presley and her father is Danny Keough
As a teenager, Keough started modeling. Her first appearance was on a runway for Dolce & Gabbana.

Taken from the live blog in SMH :

Here's the headline from this year's Oscars: Mad Max the big winner.

Regardless of what happens from here, The Revenant cannot now win more awards than Mad Max: Fury Road, and nor can anything else. George Miller's film has six awards, with a stake in two more - best director and best picture - while The Revenant has just one from the eight it has so far contested, with a shot at four more (actor for Leo DiCaprio, supporting actor for Tom Hardy, plus director and picture).

To recap, here are the categories in which Mad Max: Fury Road has won, with the nationality of the winners:

Costume design Jenny Beavan (UK)

Production design Colin Gibson (Australian); Set Decoration: Lisa Thompson (Australian)

Make-up and hairstyling Lesley Vanderwalt, Elka Wardega and Damian Martin (all Australian)

Editing Margaret Sixel (South African/Australian)

Sound Editing Mark Mangini (US) and David White (Australian)

Sound mixing Chris Jenkins (US), Gregg Rudloff (US) And Ben Osmo (Australian)

Could George Miller and his Fury Road do a Last Emperor in this Oscars ??

At the 60th Academy Awards, the film "The Last Emperor" won all nine Oscars for which it was nominated:

Best Picture (Jeremy Thomas)
Best Director (Bernardo Bertolucci)
Best Art Direction (Ferdinando Scarfiotti, Bruno Cesari and Osvaldo Desideri)
Best Cinematography (Vittorio Storaro)
Best Costume Design (James Acheson)
Best Film Editing (Gabriella Cristiani)
Best Original Score (Ryuichi Sakamoto, David Byrne and Cong Su)
Best Sound (Bill Rowe and Ivan Sharrock)
Best Adapted Screenplay (Mark Peploe and Bernardo Bertolucci)

The Fury Road has already won six, with the Best Picture and Best Director to come !!

Totally agree with your summary of Mad Max I, II, II and IV

Mad Max was robbed!
I haven't seen all the other films so can't really say for sure.
Fury Road is visually spectacular.
Costumes, cinematography, sound, set design etc are all important, but ultimately to be the best film I think a film has to have a great script/screenplay, and great acting and Fury Road has neither. It's still an awesome film though.
I think my favourite is still Mad Max II, but IV is the most spectacular.

Yeah, I agree, Miller put it all together really well, but he just missed out to even more outstanding directing by Alejandro González Iñárritu in the Revenant.
That film would've been murder to make!

I made an earlier reference between Fury Road and The Last Emperor which was also visually spectacular and as stated, it won all nine categories it was nominated including Best Picture and Best Director! But interestingly , it did not score any nominations for the acting !

Personally I thought John Lone and Joan Chen both did a good job, they might not necessarily won but probably deserved a nomination !

I dunno, George Miller filmed Mad Max in the Namibian desert over 6 months with over 1000 cast and crew, 130 cars and trucks, most of which got smashed, incredible real stunts and cinematography and developed new ways of filming. He also coordinated all those technicians that won Oscars for everything else.
I would disagree that there wasn't a decent script and acting. Film is a visual and audial medium and there doesn't have to be a whole lot of dialogue for it to be "good". Apparently the whole film was developed with hundreds of story boards so there was definitely a script. I think Tom Hardy had the charisma to say a lot with few words and the editing (a massive part of any film) was innovative and extremely precise.
Action movies are not Oscar movies though.
I also like how Immortan Joe is played by the same actor as Toecutter in the original Mad Max.
