Congratulations to Adam Voges ! 130 not out on debut vs the West Indies
The 442nd baggy green débutante could see the Aussie winning the first test in West Indies by an Innings !!
The West Indies won the toss and batted first, but was dismissed in only 53.5 overs with 148 runs.
Mitchell Johnson and Hazelwood each took 3 wickets, Starc took two and Lyon/Smith took the remaining two. Captain Clarke took 3 catches which is a good sign for the upcoming Ashes Tour. Although he only made 18 with the bat.
But the innings clearly belonged to Adam Voges, he was unbeaten at 130.
The Australian tails also contributed to the first innings total of 318 with Lyon making 22 and Hazelwood 39 (second highest runs for both teams in the first innings )
With that score on the board, I think Adam Voges can now lock down the no. 5 spot at the team.
