I note there are not many posts on here about the Gold Coast. A number of punters are complaining about the prices in Brisbane compared to Sydney. I'm finding that the opening of new shops at the Gold Coast is raising the bar (yep, there's a pun there) in terms of quality. So, when I can, I will go for a drive to check out the GC scene. It's cheaper, more satisfying, "finish" strike rate higher, and generally more enjoyable. I find the service is also more often with a smile too.

There are about 10 shops along the highway now between Surfers and Broadbeach. I may not be able to put comments all in one go, but I'm happy to post thoughts on a few shops as separate posts below.

This place seems dodgy from the outset. Dodgy name, dodgy colours and dodgy wink of the shop owner when she greets you and tells you how the girls will look after you. But then you realise they're quite genuine about the mission to please.

One advantage is that there are actual rooms. $50/hr is a good massage rate and extras are reasonable too. One ML grabbed my hand and placed it on her butt towards the end. Massage was okay, although not the best I've had. Finish very good, although the glancing noises on each stroke probably weren't necessary. Left very happy.

Would I return? Sure.

I'd be interested in any other places you go to. I have tried 'Asian Massage' at Mermaid Beach a few times, both for waxing & massage. Pretty good, friendly girls, good prices and enjoyable endings.

I tried a place that is on the LHS as you drive south..... at the beginning of the Miami strip centre on the highway.

Big place ... about 6 or 7 rooms ... the 21 yo Chinese girl I had was pretty .... but couldn't recommend the place based on her service... very average.... but then one experience doesn't give too much clue as to the others.... but there are an absolute shit load of choices all along the Gold Coast Highway.

Based on just a few experiences on the Goldy... the Happy Dragon on Chevron stands out :-)

SD, I assume you're talking about the place with the big yellow sign. You park around the back and enter through a pile of washing - at least that means they're changing the towels.

If so, I'm becoming a regular there. $60/hour, $20 finish, negotiate the rest.

The attractiveness of the girls varies, and I can only assume the service level is the same. I struck it lucky early on and haven't changed the last few times I've been. Skinny Taiwanese girl, so those who insist on large mams need not apply. Doesn't mind help with her own ending while she assists you with yours.

Now that they recognize me, I usually get a cheeky pat on the bum on the way in, and always a friendly smile from everyone, even though I don't ask for different MLs. It's a nice experience, and a great massage with plenty of teasing, semi-intelligent conversation and no bullshit.

Please be mindful though, brothers, that the folk in blue have been door to door along here with a sheet of rules, telling MLs what's legal and what's not. This means it pays to develop a good relationship with staff, and to be respectful that they're wary.

I've been to Happy Dragon and find it a little clinical, but I get that some brothers might like the guaranteed result. I love that this place is not clinical, and still has an air of "punt" about it.

I thought I'd get back to the task at hand and give a rundown of joints as I see them, starting from Surfers and working my way down the coast. I'll sporadically throw in a couple from Surfers and elsewhere, but this is the general plan.

Thai Herbal is the same group as the one in Surfers, in a mall just around from Cavill. They opened next to Hooters and had an opening special of $39 which has now lifted to $49. They charge a few dollars extra for oil which I think is a bit of a rort.

Anyway, this place is totally legit. On the upside, all the MLs have been taught the same and do a very relaxing massage. If you've got any pains outside the usual complaint of blue balls, I'd recommend you give it a go. I think I dozed off here, which is something I don't normally do.

Rooms are a curtain arrangement but surprisingly quiet.

I went in here and tried something different. I said I was looking for the best massage in Queensland. Two very young looking MLs came out. One looked too young, but I find it difficult to tell these days. If they look anything like kids - and to me that's anything remotely underage - I run for the hills. Neither do I find it attractive. I really hope nobody on this site condones any of that shit either. Anyway, enough of the sermon.

This place also has a weird pricing structure. The official price list has $90 types of massage - all the normal hot stone, remedial etc, which is steep. On the back wall, there's a small sign with the "relaxation" prices, the normal $60 for an hour. I don't mind paying for good service, but I don't really like being ripped off, and that seemed the intention.

Bottom line: I paid for half an hour and moved on to a surer thing.

Would I return? I'm sure my timing was out a little, so I probably should give it another go at some point. Maybe other brothers have had better experiences.

i've found that dual prices are usually the inclusive ending and exclusive ending. I think it's an admirable thing that you're documenting the shops on the Highway.

This place is at Miami, on the same side as the supermarket arcade. I've walked past a couple of times and it's been HAB city, but the day I decide to go in, it seems there's been a special on KFC dinner boxes.

Oh well, there now and the pecker's getting anxious. Japanese, about 30-ish tells me the massage is VERY good. A good sign, right? $50 half hour. All massages "deluxe". B-grade massage leads to fair whack of tackle tickle, a bit of under-reach action, and friendly chatter.

Turns out the day before she's smashed 7 pints and a $2 steak at the pub, so I wasn't far wrong with the KFC jibe.

All-in price, GD style means there's no need to wonder, so the flip leads straight to the action. Popped a boob out and tells me how big ones will help me cum. $30 for topless, $50 for the full kit. I wasn't that keen. Left happy nevertheless. Hand assist skills pretty good.

Would I return? Meh. There'd want to be better candy on offer.

Mermaid is both the location and the name, in the same strip of shops as Fantasia. I've been here a couple of times now, both times after having popped my head in the door on a day they were full, only to spot a 8/10 HAB, maybe 9.

Like a flathead to the lure, one time a South American, the next a Thai MILF. Both we're fine, and not unattractive. $30/half hour and friendly chatter. Both times offered to flush the pipes, but I just wasn't inspired. Couldn't clear the mind of that elusive beauty, I guess.

Rooms are rooms which is a plus, and the place is clean. Worth another go, but not yet, given the high expectations I've set for this place.

I've got no idea what this place is called, but it's on the northern end of a strip of shops just off the highway.

I took advantage of the $50/hr opening special, and Japanese HAB said I was her third customer. Lucky me. Still had bubbly enthusiasm $20 for the finish line and $20 to touch, although I'm not sure what that meant (literally, yes, but the mystery remains in the detail - sorry to all those who really want to know).

Cubicles are quite small but neatly laid out. ML keen to darken the room. It wasn't the best punt I've had but a good result, and I'm sure a bit of experience now on the side of staff. Must return to find out what the touching entails.

$50 sign has unfortunately been replaced by a $30 waxing sign.

Yes, from the outside it appears rather dodgy but the rooms aren't bad inside and the girls are pretty decent.

I'm up at the GC and gave the Asian Massage place a shot in Mermaid Beach, good massage and happy afterwards. The only complaint is the amount of oil left on me in general afterwards.
