But now we get to what football is really all about - athletic chicks getting sweaty ;)
The Matildas are an outside chance and hopefully the girls can go all the way this time.
I of course have a soft spot (actually it's a hard spot) for the Japanese girls who I have christened the Kawaii Samurai*. Their official name is of course the Nadeshiko which is also very special. Here is a quote from Wikipedia ...

There is actually a strong Asian representation in the Womens tournament with teams from Australia, Japan, Sth Korea, China, and even Thailand.

Women footballers are generally not the hottest girls on the planet, and there are definitely some butch looking and lesbian girls in the mix - it's not a beauty pageant - but there are some definite cuties in there too.

well I have to admit there are some beautiful ladies shown above as for the football playing ladies the are all relatively flat chested but then again I suppose if they wernt they would have trouble chesting the ball.

5 things I like about women's football
1. The purve factor -some of the girls are easy on the eye; most are average or well below average, but there are some cute ones and some glamazons.

I noticed the Chinese goalkeeper too.
She is the hottest girl in the team.
There are a couple of cute girls in the Chinese team but most look very average - in fact most look like young boys ;)
As I have said previously football doesn't attract the hottest girls - most are tomboyish or dikey looking.
But as I said it's harsh to judge the girls in their sporting kit.
They would look much hotter with hair and make up done and an evening dress.
I have already shown in the porn stars and make up thread what a huge difference make up makes.
Anyway getting back to sport ...

I reckon the team sports with the hottest girls would be:

Volleyball (indoor) And I love the knee pads - gives me dirty thoughts.

France played some great football today but unfortunately they could not take their chances and even though they were the better side against the worlds number one team Germany they ended up loosing in the penalty shoot out.

Lets hope the Matildas can get up tomorrow against Japan early game 5:30 am on SBS

Definitely setting the alarm for tomorrow morning.
Spending the night with a fuck buddy but an "emergency" is gonna come up (again ... LOL!) and I am outta there and of to Star Casino to watch the game.
Should be a good game. I have a hard spot for Japanese girls but will still be cheering for the Aussie girls.
The Matildas will be the underdogs again; Japan are the defending World Champions and have defeated us on several occasions.
But I am confident the Matildas can do it.
And if we get passed Japan then we will definitely beat Canada or England - and then face either USA or Germany in the Final.
I might put a lazy $100 on Australia to be World Champs. You can get $13 to $15 odds on the Matildas to be World Champs.
I reckon its a good investment ...

Unfortunately the Aussie girls were knocked out of the World Cup today, losing to Japan 1-0.
The game was poised to go into extra time at 0-0, but the Japanese girls scored with just a few minutes left on the clock.
No excuses, the Matildas were just beaten by a better team, Japan is the reigning World and Asian Champion and a has superior head to head record against Australia, and dominated the game.
Anyway, well done Aussie girls for making it as far as the Quarter Finals and putting women's sport on the front page for a couple of weeks - quite an achievement right in the middle of NRL/AFL/Rugby season.
