Hello fellow brothers,

Long time lurker on these forums but a site I read constantly. Anyway guys just wanted to throw this out there. I think I have an addiction to punting. This week I've been 5 times alone spending close to my weeks wage. I'll admit that this the most I've even been in a week. I always want to cold turkey and stop punting all together but I'll get an urge and go again. Any brothers got some tips on how to slowly transition out of this phase?

You can get some professional help. Sex addicts anonymous saa-recovery.org. I believe they have a program in Australia.

Ultimately the decision to stop has to come from you, so you have to be strong enough to do it.

I think having a hobby always helps, everytime you get the urge to punt you should turn to your hobby instead. It's really not that hard, it will only be difficult for a few weeks then it becomes easier to manage.

Good luck.

Addiction is a very heavy word bro. I don't think you are addicted - not yet anyway.
Sounds more you are doing something you enjoy a lot, and probably doing it too much.
5 times a week as a once off thing or once or twice a year is OK; but not as a regular thing.
No need to panic or try to cut it out altogether; that will just stress you out.
Just cut it down three times a week and then twice a week - you will actually look forward to your punts a lot more and enjoy them a lot more.
Punting should always be something exciting and fun and something to look forward to.
If it just becomes part of your daily routine then you are on a slippery downward slope to becoming addicted and enjoying it a lot less.
So, punt less and enjoy more!

I can quit anything, drink, smoke, anything ! But I don't want to quit punting, because I don't consider it an addiction, I just love some better things in life ! ;) ;) ;)

If we didn't punt then those poor WLs wouldn't be able to pay their college fees, rent and other daily living expenses. On the other hand, firms like Louis Vuitton or Chanel wouldn't be in a strong position if WLs weren't buying their expensive goods.

I guess punting is good for the economy in some ways with most people being very happy in the end.

Spending that much cash relative to your financial situation is definitely a problem.

I had that phase before.

Used it as a form of distraction; then realised it was too expensive so I went back to triathlons.

Ye another hobby helps

It is an addiction, I get you. It's no different to gambling or alcoholic. It's hard to go cold turkey altogether but here's what I've been doing since last year. Keep a spreadsheet record of all your punting activities. At least then you can keep looking at how much you are spending on it. It will act as a deterrent to some extent. Like I limit myself to 2 times a month. Without the record it's hard to control yourself.

We sometimes fail to ask the question why men become addicted to punting in the first place. I was with a few guys at a bar when the topic about WLs came up. One of the guys admitted to seeing MLs and WLs on a regular basis. We asked why and he revealed his life story. He was married to a Korean girl whom he dearly loved. They had a child and then she abandoned them both and returned to South Korea. He became a single dad and it was difficult juggling the two, that is caring for his infant son and working. He tried dating but many women had no interest in him because he was a single father. He wanted to be with someone and felt sometimes lonely so he started going to RNT and FS shops. He felt he wouldn't be rejected by women. He paid them for a massage or sex and left feeling very happy. After many years of punting, he expressed no regrets now. He appeared to be proud of his achievements (i.e. seeing so many girls). Therefore, we may argue that guys are at fault for punting but sometimes we have to consider the other side and ask why men are driven to see WLs or MLs in the first place.

Its defintely an addiction no doubt about it especially if you're punting on a regular basis. Its just the same as smoking, gambling and drinking only difference its not as dangerous but the health risk is still there. All in all they all have one thing in common and that is we are spending/losing money to that addiction to satisfy our needs or fix. To some people this is seen as a good addiction and to others a bad addiction. And like all addictions once you get addicted its kinda hard to stop. But to those who can go cold turkey and stay off this addiction.... my hats go off to you.

Definitely try to get focused and a target in life. Stay away from this site and temptations. This may be the least favourite thread and advice of the brothel and massage advertisers here but there you go.

Why the fuck would you want to give up!!!
Just enjoy bros, just fucking enjoy!!!!
And when the money runs out just take up another hobby; bird watching, stamp collecting, yoga, jogging, trainspotting, reading ... whatever.
Life is just a series of distractions ... it doesn't really matter what you do ... you just have to fill in time from when you are born until you are dead.
And then you will disappear without trace from this tiny planet, in this tiny solar system, in this tiny galaxy, in one of billions of universes ... Enjoy!!!
