Spending 2 weeks driving on the road travelling from North to South Queensland was quite an experience. The first sunny day flying in to Cairns was picture perfect for a sun seeker like me. However, outdoor activities were substituted by trips to the casino to kill the blues, as it rained consistently for the next few days. The next stop was Townsville, where overcast skies were abundant. But soon lifted, and I was blessed with a few sunny days. This continued towards Mackay. The relief of beautiful, dry weather was short lived when I left. Navigating through a treacherous drive in the heavy downpour along the single lane highway to Rockhampton tested my skills and courage. Driving at 60 kms an hour, keeping my focus straight ahead was a strain for my eyes as well. Honestly, I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy. An overnight stay was more than enough to see nothing of this soaked up town, as I hoped for blue skies again in Noosa. Three days on the Sunshine Coast was just right to explore and sightsee. Then leaving on the Easter long weekend was good timing too, as hordes of families were heading up north for the school holidays. Queensland have their term break two weeks in advance of NSW’s. And I, made my way towards Brisbane…

There wasn’t really much happening during this break. I stayed in Springhill where quite a few independents were advertising in the area. I studied them carefully and soon, eyes blurred from reading on my phone. After dinner, I went back to the Valley to browse. And seeing a sign next to Les Bubbles, a restaurant of some sort. I found my way in upstairs to a gated door. Security locked with CCTV, it reminded me of any ol’ brothel back in Sydney. I was greeted by a pleasant, chubby, young Thai girl. Quite fair, cheerful and would be Ahlungor’s newest recruit. No younger than 25, denim shorts and a purple traditional wrap. Busty? Like I said, she would have been Ahl’s newest recruit. Her bubbly personality was a refreshing sight from the travelling in and out of the rain. I would call her a mini BBT… (big, beautiful Thai)
Jackie, or Jacky, was her name. She led me to a room where I could barely adjust my eyes to drop my belongings onto the chair. A room with ensuite attached. Could have been a brothel once upon a time? I stripped off completely naked and start my usual bantering with her. She gives quite a competent oil rub. Very smooth and soft, then an increase in pressure as she pushes her palms through the flesh. With every alternating stroke, she would gently massage in wave-like strokes along my torso. It was a little ticklish, so I got mixed signals on this. Everything was above board about her technique, as there was not a hint of fooling around. That was when she asked me to turn over…
Jacky is a sweet, charming lass with good English, friendly vibe and has exceptional massaging skills. I would never expect anything less from a Thai. On the second night, I decided to drop back into the joint again, hoping to bump into another available lady for a massage. It was Saturday night, just after 9.30 pm. The rain was relentless, as I circled the streets, looking for a parking spot. Crowds were out and about, as all the bars appear to be open. I would have lapped Wickham St around the block few times. To my dismay, on my umpteenth lap, I noticed that the lights were all off, above 144.
So drove further down Wickham, passing a few bars and noticed an OPEN sign still lit up in the 2002 Cyber City/Chopstix arcade. I found a quick park on Brunswick to the left, and dashed in and out of the rain to get to my second choice. Standing outside the shop, I noticed 2 ladies inside. The door was locked. My heart sank. The lady came out to tell me that they were actually closed. And the lady was actually a ladyboy. Walking out of the arcade, I spotted another sign across the road. Again, it was closed. I missed the deadline of 10 pm. Given more time in Brisbane, I might have explored other areas in the suburbs. I think I will call it a night…
