Quite common reasons i believe are here are 100% sure about what n where we are going and have a lot of options. But wondering whar else ppl think? Or if there are any bros who find other option better and had a lot luck on it, interested in their opinions too.

i have never ever used a dating site, not even bothered to register with a fake name. just felt it's going to be very hard to find genuine relationship there. you and the next competitor is just one click away.

I use dating sites too, but it's been horrible for me. One site used to work very well (around this time last year, I was getting a 50% success rate) but the same site currently is just full of scammers and fake profiles.

The thrill of getting the girl to bed was a positive for me. If they've seen your pics and agree to meet you and you're not an obnoxious cunt, then chances of sleeping with them is very high, and the extra effort involved does make it feel worthwhile and more exciting. Most women on dating sites (especially the attractive ones) have caught on that they can earn something for sleeping with you (dinner, lots of drinks, a present or two, straight-up money) so it's not usually a free fuck or anything. Ok I'm an interesting case so I'll answer this.

There are some men out there who simply don't have the skills to seduce women, who turn to punting in order to get laid
There are men are it there who just want companionship or think it's fun etc
Then there are some guys , like me, who actually are popular with women yet prefer to do it this way (eg Charlie Sheen was the ultimate example of a guy who had hordes of women after him, yet chose to see WLs instead).

Don't want to sound arrogant but I'm a young guy who is popular with girls in real life (note - I do not think this makes me better than anyone. There are things more important to my self esteem than that.)

Now, if I want , I can pick up women I meet around in quick time, and I sometimes do. But here's the thing for me - if you have the money (punting is a rich mans game, though let me tell you real dating might cost you more in the long run) it is more CONVENIENT. Alot less HASSLE.

With Punting you don't have flakes, rejections, approach anxiety, cling ons, stalkers, jealous fights, broken hearts and girls who feel used and deceived, fights, dramas, manipulative and corrosive bitches, broken hearts etc

You just go in, have a great time, and it's over until/unless you want to meet that girl again. And they HAVE to be nice to you.

Of course, there's things you won't get from punting. I guess it more pertains to the reality and future of the situation. Which is why, if you want a real, loving relationship, you'll have to date.

And dating costs no less than punting. You've got dinners, movies, anniversary gifts, birthday gifts, valentines etc.

Ok, back to the original question. Meeting for one night stands at bars or Internet. Once again, if you've got money, it's just more convenient and less hassle. If you don't have money, then bars would be the way. But you've still got to deal with the girl getting stuck in a fling with you which can turn sour. I've had alot of experience s like that where girls get hurt (and you might too).

Lol. Well I started doing this a few months ago. Plus side - it keeps running costs down. Minus - you often go unfulfilled, and then (as you said) end up regretting the cumulative money you've wasted.

Eg a $35 massage doesn't sound like much (you get a nice massage, sensuous touch, and the thrill of not knowing). However, after 10 of these, you realise you wasted $350 you could have spent on 3 really good ML sessions!
