We've had Australia participating in the last two Eurovision contests and we did so well with Dami Im coming second behind Ukraine in this year's contest. Is there an Asian equivalent of Eurovision? If so, would it be the Korean K-pop girls taking out first place for South Korea or someone else?

I recall hearing from somewhere that SBS is actually in talls with the Eurovision rights holders regarding creating an Asian version. This might happen.

Back 30, 40 years, the pop culture and musical scenes in Asia was dominated by Japanese singers - most of the top Hong Kong hit songs back then were re cycling from Japanese songs with Chinese lyrics.

But in the past 10-15 years, the K-Pop has definitely dominated that's for sure !!
