Starting from today of course.

Does it sound impossible? It kind of does actually.

Sometimes even 3 days and I'm already climbing the wall but I just want to test myself.. and keep progress of how I feel.

It looks simple and easy but in fact it is not - to the majority of people anyway IMHO !

And this is why:

1. To have the time and opportunity to do it 7 days in a row, meaning involving weekend, which would just about rule out a lot of married brothers. Of course, nothing stopping the husband to do two punts on two of the weekdays and nothing on Sat/Sun which effectively is still 7 punts in 7 days .

2. Then the question remains if you could count and include the regular sex you have at home or with your girlfriend or strictly paid sex only. and then for someone who does it once a week with the wife and one with the secretary at work plus the 7 punts, that could get up to 9 shots territory...........haha

3. Would it be easier for the RnT gangs and harder for the FS team ? performance issues ??

That's a very clever question, my friend.

If one would make up for the lost punts, then there's no financial advantage of doing this.

My thoughts are that if it's a small period of abstinence, like one month, then no I would not. I'll go back to my once a week punting. But if say, it was a long period (like as one punter put it - if you were released from jail!) then you would be so frustrated and dying to get it, you'd make up for it in no time!

In fact, skipping a month actually helps to make up for the times you went over your usual monthly punting limit in the previous months!

Ok guys, here's my report on what I experienced during my '30 days abstinence challenge. Mind you, this is only a short period of abstinence. If it were longer (at least 6 months) then you would really be able to gauge what abstinence does to you

The Positives

- Saving Money - speaks for itself. The amount of money that we spend on punting per month, can mean that this is one way to really get out of a tight spot money wise. Money/ month x months of abstinence = you do the math

- Relearning the value of money - As punters, we get to the point where $100 bucks is just not a big deal to us anymore. I used to spend hundreds of dollars like nothing! As I wasn't spending this money every week, I started to realise just how much it is. I recall last week misplacing a $20 note and starting to panic! Last night, I ended the challenge with a $70 punt, which I was having a hard time getting over!

- Everything else becomes more fun - remember when you were a virgin, and how much fun it was playing the latest PC game? This is the sort of thing that happens with abstinence. As you start to forget the joys of sex, everything else becomes much more fun! I recall going to see a movie a week or so ago, and being incredibly excited and enjoying it immensely! I enjoyed it twice as much as usual! Same goes for a trip I made to a restaurant ! I actually enjoyed them almost, if not equally, as much as I enjoy going punting!

- Beating the addiction- At first, I was getting some harsh cravings. As it's such an association. Weekend = Punting. But I started to forget about it and didn't have sex on my brain that much at all. As they say, it just takes 30 days to kick a habit!

- Happiness - As I said, I started spending more time with friends and family, and this genuinely made me feel more happy and satisfied in my life.

- The punt that ends the abstinence- it feels like the best punt you've ever had!

The negatives

- Sexual frustration- I didn't really get much of this, but if you're spending time at work, and your colleague has a good set of tits, you want to go punting to enjoy a C-cup and feel relieved. With abstinence, you are left dissatisfied and frustrated. I also experienced some nasty cravings at the start of the month.

- Depression - I had a slight depression at some stage. Punting is a great joy of my life, and releases high levels of dopamine in the body. It gives me a great joy for life. Without it, I felt a bit lost and empty. (Yes, this does conflict with what I said about Happiness. I think a longer period of abstinence would clarify this).

- Insecurity- I don't know how to describe this, but when I'm regularly sexually active, I am confident, assured, happy, and 'self assured'. When you're not getting laid, you simply don't have that high level of self reliance and confidence. A sort of 'strength as a man' so to speak. When we're making girls regularly moan in pleasure, and they're telling you how much they ' love your big cock', it gives us confidence and validation.

OVERALL - I think that a small period of abstinence per year is highly beneficial and good for you to do. I really enjoyed this, especially since I began to enjoy other non-sexual activities more! I'd like to do this every year! But as for longer periods of abstinence, I'm not sure how they would affect you. I'm guessing it would be more negative than positive
