Read a article which showed a survey which was presented to a Aids
conference in Durban 2016. This is a summary of the survey.
594 sex workers were interviewed , 412 were migrants. The
migrant workers were from Thailand , China, Korea & NZ. One
in 5 were married , one in 3 were parents & while a small number
had little education the majority were highly educated. 1/3 said
they did not speak English well. The majority would see 10 to 30
clients per week. Most were receiving 50 % plus cut similar to their
Aust counterparts. Most migrants were satisfied with their conditions
& that they intended to stay long term, but biggest complaint was
homesickness & isolation from family & boredom from lack of
nightlife etc. The survey estimated 20000 pro's in Aust & 15 % of
men paid for it in Aust. Survey said 43 % had enrolled in education,
1/4 said they travelled to Aust to get married & 12 % said they
entered as tourists. 1/4 said broker assist them, 1/4 on their own
& others says assisted by fiancé , husband or boyfriend.
Most participants main reason for being a pro was to support family,
relatives back home & 30 % said paying education was main
reason. 8 % were spending money on gambling compared to 5%
Aust. No migrants spent money on drugs compared to 16 % Aust.
The survey results seem to be what I thought though the one in
5 married & 1 in 3 have kids I was surprised. From u
experiences does this survey presented to the conference
sound accurate.

and this survey probably doesnt include HE massage .. where BJ and FS may be optional ... guessing if MLs were included then the stats may skew more (like more than one in 5 married)...the distinction between ML and WL is often a blur.. and about $20-$50...
