Did anyone see the episode last night (Saturday) with the English contestant sweeping all the girls off their feet with his good looks and charm?

The host Meng Fei mentioned that it was the first time in the show's history that all 24 girls had their lights on until the contestant was given the honour of turning off their lights. More importantly, it was achieved by a non Asian guy. No wonder the Asian guy who followed him felt uncomfortable. He couldn't match the English guy in terms of good looks, presentation, confidence and speech. In the end, the English guy chose one of the twins and she appeared to be very happy with him.

It is also interesting that in the past, some girls declined foreigners but on this occasion, this was not the case. The fact that he was non Asian didn't deter the girls from leaving their light on for him. It comes down to what women see attractive in men. Women are attracted to men that have goals and are actively pursuing them. This English guy had it. When it comes to deeply connecting with a woman on an emotional level, one's presence will always mean more than any presents ever could. The English guy had eye contact and very good social skills (eg listening, and responding to the girls questions directly and promptly) which gave them the sense of feeling seen and heard. He also had a sense of humour that most girls like to see in a guy. Another thing is spontaneity which can bring passion and life to one's interactions with someone of the opposite sex. This guy had a business, house and car in England and then suddenly decided to sell everything and move to Africa where he worked with the poor and the homeless. Being predictable can be death to attraction. Another element was his confidence. Essentially, confidence is about being yourself. To go with his confidence, he was well groomed, tall, handsome and well spoken all indicating to a woman that he genuinely has wealth and status. In fact, he was the guy that all 24 girls wanted but in the end, there could only be one lucky girl.

That said, I wondered why none of the girls pressed the love buzzer in order to have automatic selection by the contestant. Many girls showed interest in this English guy but why not press the buzzer that would guarantee them a spot in the top 3 or 4 selection process? Sounds a bit unusual. :question:

Reality is many of them didn't continue with their relationship after the date. Only just a few end up tieing the knot.

The other twin was in tears because her sister was leaving her. I believe the English guy chose the younger one and she was much skinnier than her older sister. Of course he chose his favourite girl. He had 24 girls leave their lights on for him so he had to turn off 22 leaving his favourite no 14 and no 12 at the end. It was obvious that he was going to choose his favourite girl no 14.

I have a feeling that those guys who got the 22+ lights on after the first round were more likely to get a date ! As there will be a free overseas trip for both of them !

Even with 22 lights, the success rate is very low. The girls are very fussy about who they share a holiday with, not helped by the poor standard of most of the guys.

The main reason to watch the show is to check out those 24 girls on stage !

The highlights would be when the guy made it to the final stage, two remaining girls will cat walk up stage, time to check out their bodies , long legs and or bouncy tits ! Then the finale, the walk of the favorite girl who usually are one of the hotties !

Those were the reasons way back then and it's still the reasons now ! What's there Not to like about this show ??

My only complaint is that SBS keeps changing the show times and now only chance to watch is Sat/Sun nights !

The show you watch on SBS is very old . if you understand mandarin there alot the recents shows like this on youtube . when i started watching i was thinking i am going to learn something about dating and the chinese girls , but after watch countless of shows . i find the same things happen over and over again .it is getting boring . if youn want to watch the hot girls you better off just watch a pornos as at least their are naked . all the girls on the show has extreme make up and dress up to the max . If you see them in real life you proberly wouldn't recognise them.

Don't you hate it when the girls keep saying to the contestants "I support you" or "I will support you right to the end" but then turn their lights off after making this comment. It's so hypocritical on their part to make the guys feel that they are interested in them only to turn off their lights straight away. :startle:
