Hey gaiz, it has been a while since I last punted and checked-in in this forum cos it has been crazy busy with work and I had spent a lot of $$ in the past couple of months on life stuff.

I popped into Gladesville over the weekend for the first time in over a couple of months, and I've noticed that they have improved their 'presentation' - just the small attention to details stuff eg). people working reception are now in business casual instead of jeans and t-shirt, and the rolled towels on top of a neatly folded bed sheet on the bed in the rooms.

I like.

And going off Christmas' snapchats (in between all the food snaps - how dafuq can you eat all those food?!), the new rooms look pretty schmick.

Marrickville might be going through the same revamp cos when I was there back in March I noticed that the reception was wearing office attire :smile: compared to the t-shirts & jeans earlier on. But don't know if they can do anything about the place....

In any event, good on them for bumping things up. It was a good return to punting experience after some time off.

And no, this is not a paid ad - more like "hey guyz, I'm back - I like what you have done to the place" type thing.

Caucasian shops have offered me whiskey or beer at the start of the session. Not seen any other Asian shops do this though even the premium ones. One shop charged me for water. Keep offering beers, it's a nice touch.

Really? I would never drink a beer during a session as I always assume that a beer would leave my mouth tasting less than desirable. Even with mouthwash afterwards the beer flavour always returns though some people have it worse than others. I know a guy who burps up beer foam all night when he is out on the piss. It's hysterical and kind of gross at the same time.

Also I have no idea why my name is being thrown around but I can confirm that is not a photo of me.

Hey I only just noticed this! Nice work Lenka. Full credit to you. Though I am a regular all over town and certainly not the only caucasian male in his LATE 30s who frequents those shops I am sure. So I may not be that easy to spot. I would certainly be impressed if you happened to spot me amongst the punters at M5, I would probably shake your hand and maybe you would realise that I am not a ball breaker at all. I do like hearing people use that term though.. reminds me of Kim Jong Il in 'Team America' which still makes me chuckle somewhat.
