About $60-$75K for a deposit for a unit, $80K into shares or index funds, and the rest for a car and/or several holidays & play time.

Well, I can't do it, if I won $200K, I have to share it with my wife, she deserves it . And she will probably donated 10% to our church too .

On the other hands if I won $500, a Grand here or there from Sportsbet or the TAB, sure, I'll keep it to myself and becomes my punting funds.

I would spend it on $1,333 punts at $150 hr each. One per day for 4 years. Nice.

In all seriousness though I have punted for 16 years. I reckon I have seen about 2,000 girls at $150 hr that is close to $300k I have pissed up the wall pursuing my "hobby".

Lot of dough when you add it all up. Is it worth it.......hmmm..........yes. You can't take it with you and as the saying goes "nobody on their death bed will wish they had less sex".

my bank, westpac, term deposit pays a measly 2.3% for 12 months
but for this, with $200 000 deposit and subtract 50% tax, you would get $2300 per year for punting fund

even better just invest it in good investment fund with possible capital return as well
minimum $2300 pa, maybe some of you this wouldnt go far
