Very tragic.
But better burnt down than converted into a Holey Moley or gourmet eatery serving $20 burgers you cant even eat.
The inner west is dying a slow and painful death.
The Sando, The Oxford Tavern ... cry cry cry ... weep weep weep ...
The Sando was awesome ... live bands with their amps on the bar ... The Plunderers, Paris Green, Lubricated Goat etc.
And The Oxford Tavern was awesome too ... jelly wrestling, topless waitresses, Miss Pole Dance competitions ... biker HQ and cop HQ within 100 metres ... great days ...

Why 'can't even eat'?

Nothing wrong with good food in a pub with a good selection of craft beer.

But then again that Sydenham pub is surrounded by all those awesome breweries, so it probably ain't no real loss....

Come to think of it, I think I'm due to give one of those places a visit again (and probably via N5M....).

Inner city yuppy pubs with boutique beer $10 with gourmet burger $21 .
