Cameras in massage room

I was visiting a popular western suburbs massage place to see my therapist. In the corner of the ceiling they have a dual web camera setup.

What is the purpose of that?

Similar to the camera placed at the roller coaster to take a happy snap for later. The webcam is there for u to relive the session at home on pornhub.

There was a case a few years ago in Perth
where a private operator was live streaming her and her clients exploits to a paying audience. Unbeknownst to the client.
It had gone on for some time before she was busted.

Whether it's there for a legit or illegit reason, it would be illegal. Even if it is a legitimate massage shop, it is still in a place where someone would expect to be getting changed. I personally would steer clear of anywhere that has camera's in the rooms as you don't know what footage is being recorded and what it may be used for down the track. If you like going to the shop, take a roll of electrical tape with you and stick a couple of pieces over the camera whilst you are alone in the room.

By law they can’t do that and if they did they wouldn’t make it so obvious .. so many hidden cameras out there which u would not even know if in room

I would probably never go to any massage shop where there is camera/s inside the actual room. That being said, maybe they had some trouble with touchy clients?

Interesting comment from you BW...and I'm not trying to be critical just reflective....I thought you, like me, see going to MP as paying for a service . I don't feel guilty if someone washes my car or cuts my grass.
Like me, it would appear that you, treat girls with respect and thoughtfulness. We sometimes go out of our way to pay a little bit more because, in a strange sort of way, we recognize that these are people too.
I'm not trying to play the "good guy " here but if we look at it as a fair transaction of business than why feel guilty? I often say to the ML, I don't want you to do anything you don't want to as its easy to pick up when this happens and it is a big turn off for me.
Maybe I am rationalizing it for my own justification but I think not.

Don't let others moral judgement warp your thinking.
If you feel guilty then maybe you need to look at your values - I think it is important to match your deeds with your thinking.
But these are just my ideas - I have to live with my actions and so do others - and I am not going to tell others how to live their life. YVMD and that's your right.
