I’ve got a friend that use to work in the sex industry for many years, working in lots of different brothels and massage parlors around Sydney. She once told me that every punter that walks into these shops are seen first by the girls out back on CCTV
Then the girl can decide if they are available for that punter or not.
My friend got heavily involved with drugs then got deported back to her country, so her frame of mind was a little whacked out, so possibly could have just been telling me porkies

Just trying to find out if their was any truth behind that?

Totally!

Mainly to protect the MLs or WLs who may have friends and family in Sydney !!

Obviously, if the girls is on a fly in and fly out quick bucks mission then it won’t matter.

Yeah that makes sense, but I didn’t think your standard massage parlor would go to such lengths to protect their girls

Why is it a surprise anyway ?

CCTV are everywhere, in any businesses. It’s not a big investment to install CCTV these days, you can buy the do-it-yourself ones too.

Mate, why not ?

IMHO, I think there would be more students working in RnT massage parlour than in FS shops. And of course they will need all the protection they can get, no ?

So true !
Actually in other parts of the world, you might be (or not) surprised at the extent of CCTV networks and whats running behind them.
Hong Kong is a good example, from the time you arrive till the time you leave, anywhere you a liable to be seen, recorded, identified, tagged, whatever...
no movement is private (sorry crappy joke....)

Yeah I think you guys are right , I just didn’t know this was actually a thing

Many massage shops use CCTV. Most will keep recording too.

You can at least see CCTV cameras so you know that you could be watched live normally. Stands out like guys posting BB sex with a prostitute on a public forum. Most people can't or don't see the digital imprint they leave.

That’s illegal.

So is providing sexual services from a business without a licence, what's your point?

That’s totally different !

Operating without a license is violating the council’s law. It’s up to the council to shut it down.

Installing camera in rooms is a criminal crime, punishable by jail term.

This gets interesting....is FS at massage place only illegal thing...are they allowed nhj or BJs?... I ask only because heaps of massage place offer it openly.... therefore that must not be considered sexual activity.

Most RnT places are illegal in that sense, but just licensing law. Not criminal offence.

Still confused as to what your argument is here. That people don't break the law?

Where is the argument ? I simply informed you or replied to your question that installing cameras in room is illegal !

But if its in another room facing a 2 way mirror....

Same deal, if the cameras were installed there with the intention to illegally recording the scene.

So is getting a HJ from a massage clinic without FS licence. Might be a council issue but you can still be named and end up in court. I don't think the average punter realises the risks they take that they can be named and shamed. Just my 2 cents

Yeah but recording is highly reportable offense. That's why it is illegal.
Lets say you are having sex with a WL and you realize that you are being recorded by the shop.
How would you feel? You don't want your video to end up on pornhub.

Now, getting a HJ from a massage clinic...How likely are you to report that?

Two illegalities but one highly reportable and other not at all. May be reportable to your friends.
Plus, a shop's intention is to earn money. They don't have any direct motive to capture our ugly mug.

But to answer the question, Have they ever captured your session?
I am sure somewhere, some demented old shop owner might have. But it's not a common practice.

No idea what you are on about yug, I never mentioned recording sessions. Why would I report myself getting a HJ? I only record my own sessions with my FB

You never mentioned recording.
But Wilison's comment you responded to was about camera and recording in the room and that it being illegal.
and the point I was making is camera in the room is highly reportable offense (and it impacts you, the customer, directly). And therefore, less likely to happen. 'cause it's not only punishable by law; no customer will ever set foot if they get a whiff of what's happening.

Whereas, getting a HJ in an unlicensed FS venue (while illegal) is something the shop can get away with (unless someone finds out).

Just saying one is more egregious than the other for the punter.
Anyway, just my 2 cents (like yours).

Is this the case in every shop? I don't think so.

Receiving a HJ or even fs is not illegal. The business may be breaking the law depending on a lot of specifics. But the punter is not.

Anyway, last time I got into a legality discussion, the thread was deleted. I guess the admin doesn't like this kind of thread?

Is the punter not at all liable? Thought there was something that he could be charged for. Could be wrong, not my area of expertise.

You can be charged in other States like Queensland and South Australia, not in NSW.

There is no "law" about this in NSW. Provided the service in consensual, the only issue would be the shop violating its "conditions of approval", which is a problem for the local council to sort out.

I think the point is very clear and there are many threads, posts on this

Adult services provided within a premises without appropriate planning permissions, is a licence planning issue. And may be prosecuted( highly unlikely) . Though, through a different process

However, customer, shop owner or staff member installs or uses a camera in a place of business . GO STRAIGHT TO JAIL . No $200. Note place of business is not just a ‘private room’ in a shop.

It’s a criminal offence.

I asked a mate in security,
This sort of stuff is state government controlled, not council.
He also said any public or business place with cameras should have some notice informing people.

Then under federal government there are a lot of privacy rules too.
