Honey Umeboshi?

Probably, no, definitely the wrong place to ask this... but anyone know where I can get some good Honey Umeboshi?

I bought some from Marayu, $20 for a small box.
But if anyone knows where I can get a good deal.... lemme know.
Made in Japan only plz.

I'll ask an old friend of mine, she might have some idea. There used to be a Japanese grocery in Artarmon that had all sorts of imported japanese goodies that were hard to find. Not sure if still there, on the other side of the station (not Hampden rd sude). Option 2 is to get the umeboshi and honey them yourself, not that difficult apparently.
Are these for yourself or for a homesick young Japanese lass to brighten her day?
Or both.

Yes, i have internet searched the fuck out of this subject.
I was not born in the 50's.
I know intrentz.

A lot of places (i.e Marayu) don't advertise umeboshi.
I must say that Marayu's is pretty fucking good.

I could make my own honey umeboshi, but it is difficult to do well.

It is for both me, and a friend.

My friend Naoko said she is not sure, she hasn't seen them here but then again she hasn't really looked, but she will ask around. Will let you know if she has any luck.
To be honest now I bloody want some too!

There are two small J shops at the end of the pathway from the station, one on each side.

Tokyo Mart in Northbridge is also a good source of J delicacies (including bored ex-pat housewives).

Yes correct, forgot about the other one, haven't been on that side in years.

Just that I did a search and came up with lots of results, which you didn't mention,

Don't know if they are what you are looking for.

I'd also try Jun Pacific, as they import a lot of J food and distribute it to other shops. I think they had an outlet in Castlecrag, just off EV Way, a few years ado but can't trace it now.
