Well said. In a year's time we'll be praying for this rain to return with scorching summer that is likely to top 50°c plus.

Can’t wait for that!!
That being said, not like there has been any cricket or sport for the rain to ruin. Not the best summer at all. Remember years back that there’d be a decent test series or two, then a long tri series against the touring teams into February!
In a couple of years we'll be complaining that it's too hot again and what happened to all the rain. Eb and flow of life, right? I for one enjoy the rain a bit. Less busy out ;)
I love the rain but it sucks for motobike riding or outdoor activies.... the humidity is what I dislike about this weather! And the unpredictability of it
I've been celebrating and enjoying the rain but even I am now officially amazed at how persistant it is.
What name was taken, namewastaken?
The rain makes no difference to me.
I always make the girls squirt so much it always feels like it's raining to me.
Having starting this thread I accept no responsibility for pre-empting current climatic conditions on the East Coast. Thoughts with those flooded and homeless.
Given what has happened, it is me that has been feeling a little guilty at my rain celebration, like I'm the rainmaker or something.

Seems like it makes all the shops more busy - there's nothing else to do
Man, everything feels sooooo damp around the place. My towels, my sheets, my pillows, my socks, my shoes, nothing feels 100% dry.
I missed a couple of windows almost three weeks ago to mow the lawn, which was already too long three weeks ago. Imagine it now after three weeks of the finest growing weather known to man. Half of it is hideous kikuya. It has been too wet to mow it. I was describing it to a friend and he suggested whipper snippering it to half size, you can do that in the wet. So I was just out doing it in the light sprinkling rain. Talk about a crude razor cut. It will help it to dry out when the weather finally turns and I can mow the rest.
I was just wearing a pair of shorts doing it and from under the trees the mosquitos where coming in squadrons while I had both hands full. :burn:
And now there is another east coast low forming. :burn:

Daty2022 didn't just Jonah us by starting this thread six weeks ago - he Noah'd us! :burn:
At least you don't work outdoors , I've wasted so much time this summer.
Over it too personally.
The ground is just constantly wet.
The really heavy rain is so damn annoying
We hate it now but when its dry for a year or so then we get massive bush fires then we wish we had more rain.
Yep it has been happening for as long as I can remember and I go back a long way, "a land of droughts and flooding rains"
Unfortunately more rain coming later this week.
