The key in partner visa is the sponsorship from a partner and it's not that simple. You have to be in a relationship for minimum 12 months. You can bypass this by registering the relationship.
As a sponsor you can only do this twice plus they check the age gap, joint accounts, living arrangements, daily expenses, photos with family and friends on both sides.
It could still take years to go from bridging visa A to TR 820, then another year for PR 800.
Some Thai girls I know have had student visas for over 5 years. I have no idea how they just keep applying for courses, pay the visa and course fees for so long.
I was a sponsor but withdrew.
There is also money to be made by being a sponsor.
