to be fair to the OP couples do get a certain feeling for how long they are together/apart. it's not about insecurity, in fact it can be the opposite. "OMG Ilikebeer has been gone too long for a simple trip to airport. something bad has happened to him and I want to help him."

Agreed - IMO its better to relax and enjoy a punt rather than have in the back of your mind all the time "what if". I have always tired to keep a thought process of - if I don't get off today I can do it tomorrow.
