Yeah, really cool people nearby function, got so many hits I had to turn it off.

    Most likely scammers though.

Or you could have a look at "Signal"... said to be even better than Telegram.

When it comes to technology I've got no clue. I only suggested WeChat because everyone seems to be using it as well as shops and WLs. Should we create a telegram group?

Create the group and see if anyone joins. I won't be sorry, I don't want shit to pop up on my phone.

You can have more than one WeChat account in your phone. Just need to switch between them.

You'd be surprised how much of that will cease the moment the cloak of anonymity is removed...

I am intrigued by this WeChat group idea. Does any one know if WeChat has a Mute notifications function? I know Line has it and it is awesome... I keep all my punting contacts there, only check it when I want to read notifications.

Yes, you can turn off notifications in WeChat, under Me->settings-> notifications... Also you can also do that for both ios and android phone for individual apps as an alternative if you have any other apps

I think that mutes all notifications from WeChat. Not good if you also have your partner or friends on there.
I just checked, you can definitely mute individual chats, just like Line.
