The problem with privates is the photos usually are fake and sometimes the lighting in apartments are turned down so you don't get a good look at girl before you've paid the money, shops are a better option as there are a lot of girls to choose from. If you don't see someone you like in the shop lineup don't be pressured into choosing a girl that you don't find good looking or what your taste is, just be polite and tell them they are not what you looking for and go somewhere else.. All privates i have had twisted the truth in some capacity. I have never return to one as well.
Shops are alot more consistent and generally better price. Unless you are after something specific, i would go to shop.

overall from experience, both are hit and miss but with privates you can verify what you get and what they look like with proper communication. and sessions can be personalised at the cost of basically double or triple what you would fork out for a session in a brothel. if you dont want to have a brothel session where you walk into a booking and a completely different looking person welcomes you, best to get a lineup but that would also mean you are missing out on the popular ones who are usually fully booked.

Private Agencies come with a higher price that's all. I had expensive duds costing $750/hr at SB and good ones costing only about $200/hr at fairly run down brothel .
Having said that , my best ever experience with wl was from private agency. After nearly 7 years, it is still not topped yet. If you have the budget just try both.

To the OP, go for brothels first. Try cheaper ones and then the big names. Then you can try privates. Only then will you know what's good and what's bad.
