Yeah, scammers from other countries use Aussie mobile numbers, I think it's called spoofing.
They will then tell you how successful they are because of crypto or Forex trading and will ask you to invest with them.
A few legit girls use WhatsApp, so you have to use your own judgement.

I've been using whatsapp with Sugarbabes for over three years. I've never had a problem or heard of anyone else who dates in the SB space having one.
Like anything, you want to be thoughtful about who you give your number out to.
I date Euro sugarbabes who have normal profiles and normal lives. Phone numbers get exchanged after a lot of online chat first.

You could just take your surname off your whatsapp account. My own is in my real first name. For most people that is not unusual.

There's scammers on all platforms, so you just have to be careful and use common sense.
