There are as many different kinds of girls on Seeking, with different motivations, as there are in a nightclub or a bar. To assume they all want the same thing or to take a cookie cutter approach to them would be a mistake. The challenge, and it's part of the fun, is to work out their motivation for being on the site. The answer very rarely lies in their online chat. Everyone has superficial answers they will tell a perfect stranger. That goes for us too.

That may be the case, but I still think it's a bit of a joke. I go in there, I find all these girls saying they want "Marriage Minded", "Long Term", "Platonic", etc. It just felt like the Seeking site was about "seeking arrangements" only in name, but inside it's all the same as any other dating app. I reckon Seeking is making a big mistake allowing this usage of their site by the girls, allowing all these tags on their profiles. It's even worse than guys trying to directly solicit sex from the girls. Over time it will just erode the meaning of their existence and they will simply fade away as yet another dating app, and an expensive one at that.

I haven't seen that happening and the same tags have been available for the past five years. The site can't be more explicit because they have to work within the FOSTA legislation in order to operate in the US.

"platonic" is often a euphemism for being open to non sex arrangements. There are girls on there who are being paid to go on dates or guys who just want company and will pay for it. It doesn't mean they are exclusively platonic - unless they say this - it just means they are open to different kinds of arrangements.

I had one "platonic" girl who took money from guys who wanted her to go to cocktail parties and events but would not sleep with them for any amount of money.
