They need furniture for their stays here. Not every apartment has furniture included. What's worse with some of these international students is when it's time to leave their places they dump their furniture on the footpath or somewhere closeby without getting someone to remove and dump their furniture at the tip.

Considering there have been virtually no new Asian students coming in for the last couple of years, you'd have to assume most of those customers are locals. Agree about the dumping though. I've got a couple of Houso blocks in my street, they are worse.

Oh really? If you're too big downstairs they will say you're hurting them. Some fussy ones might just want to see Asian only.

Colossal fuck up today with transportation courtesy of the NSW government. All passengers trains within this state are on strike...

So much for a train ride back from the airport...

Can't wait to see new faces as I am tired of seeing ordinary line ups of girls who were working at your average shop now moving to other markets and charging a premium rate .

A friend from Singapore tried to get down here this month. Said the paperwork and evidence requirements were daunting for someone who is English. Can only imagine how hard it is for non English speakers

Wondering how long would it take for the border opening to show effect on new talents in shops? A month?

Don’t think Morrison is laying out the red carpet for Chinese tourists at the moment?

China is done with Aus. If anything they'll do another hit and run in yet another industry

We'll be begging Chinese tourists to come back in the future, they're our biggest market by far...

It's everywhere not only for Australia. Going to places like Thailand is not straightforward like it was pre covid.
