I've read a few papers saying that having HSV1 is suspected to give you SOME resistance to being infected with HSV2. Another paper says it suspects women get more benefit. (a rare occasion where being female is a benefit)

Summary and personal opinion: SWs and MLs in a long-term gig SHOULD have cleaner pussy than nearly all women.. Simply because they are regularly tested and it's in their financial best interest to not infect clients. Also, the work of Rapid (testing center in Fortitude Valley, Queensland) has greatly changed the scene (they don't test for HSV1 or HSV2. They test for HIV, gonorrhoea, syphilis, chlamydia). KNOW your HSV status. Try and limit the number of people you 'fluid bond' with... And if you do choose to do such things (and are lucky enough to have a GF, ML, or SW who is agreeable), get tested beforehand, and regularly after (<3months if possible).
Personally I'd be hell of a lot more wary of 'going down' on a 40+ year old woman you met on Tinder/ Plenty of Fish / Hinge... some are totally ignorant, and get CIM and/or cream-pied by heaps of guys, and havn't had an STD check in 10+ years.
