Was looking for a place to go, one of the old favourite haunts and google telling me Mastige 8 is closed. With Romeo's already gone, only leaves Juliet's and Midas. Not much choice, terrible prices and no new talent. Seems like there are no good options if you are looking for a korean style massage. A sad end to a great era.
I guess that’s how CBD style massage was born. It’s like the last rebel stronghold.
My personal opinion: Korean bathhouses have met this fate because of their “niche” offering. They’re basically glorified RNTs offering an extremely watered down version of the real thing in Korea (getting BBFS is a given in a real Korean bathhouse in Korea). They were destined to be beaten by regular RNTs that offer just about everything except for the cucumber facials for a fraction of the price.
There’s still a niche market for these shops
