Silly idea but it saves me money

When I was young I hadn't the money for entertainment. I just caught a bus to the public libraries to borrow 4 or 5 books to read and return for new books next week. It had helped to while away my youth and became a well-read and well-mannered man.

After 2 years of punting I bought my self a $160 second-hand guitar and started to learn to play it. Each hour I spend on playing the guitar I save $200 of Full Service with a young Chinese ML let alone the cost of condoms, lub, viagra etc.

Fingering the strings is no less enjoyable than fingering between her legs. The shape of guitar is like a woman's body fitting snugly under the arm.

Further more it makes great melody.

Now you can go laughing at me.

And yes I am still keeping the tropical fish tank. (I could hear more laughter.)

I would do anything and everything to distract me from punting and save the hard-earned dollars and cents.

    I think differently

I use my spare time to make more money so I can have more reasons to punt

I didn't borrow mathematical books to read.

I mainly borrowed books by Dylan Thomas, D.H. Lawrence and George Orwell etc. It started my love for English literature.

Ditto that. I've an avid interest in guitar as well. The more you get into it the more you spend. Wait till you actually start to sound musical. There is something comforting about it . Serious. My name Axeman comes from guitars. A guitar is called an axe.

    This

Then you invest it into properties and use the rent to pay for your punts

Yeah everyone has their vices and ways to manage it. Personally im taking a break from the scene, moved to hobbies now - buying and restoring old cars. Way more expensive compared to punting but at least its a 'investment'.

Not to mention constructive as opposed to destructive.

Thomas and Orwell both wrote short books or poems; Lawrence wrote junk. They all died young, probably just as well or you would still be stuck in the Library.

I nailed my cock to a post next to the fridge for a week and read Kurt Vonnegut. Saved me heaps!
