I used to do a bit of SCUBA (now that's a decent acronym) in my youth and off the rocks at Long Reef in the Northern Beaches we used to get a lot of good size Abalone, all fished out now, and the prices now are unbelievable, have made a lot of people rich in the last few years selling to the Japs...........A bit off topic but who cares

I have to laugh to when I see offal on the menu of posh restaurants.
I was weaned on that shit. It was cheap as fuck!
Lambs fry, ox liver, kidneys, tripe, but my fave is chicken livers fried with onions. Yummy
And tasted even better with mum and dad smoking ciggies at the kitchen table
