There's a very practical reason why the rate for RNT extras tend to stay the same a lot longer than the rates for other sex services like FS in a shop or with an escort.
It's a cash transaction right there in the room with the girl. She doesn't have a cash register in front of her. She's not going to charge you $59.99 because the cost of living has gone up by 7%. Heck, even charging $55 is not practical because not everyone's going to have a $5 note on them. The rate always goes by bigger dollar notes. $20, $50, $100, $150. Easy right? No need to give change.
But that also puts them in a disadvantaged position because they can't increase rates as easily as, say, an FS shop girl. To go from $50 to $70 is a 40% increase, that's a huge increase and will likely push away too many customers. On the other hand, a shop girl can increase her rate by $10, $20 or $30 and come up with "odd" looking dollar amounts like $330 /hour because there's a cashier out the front of the shop that handles the cash and can give the change back to the punter.
Nice theory that doesn't include the massage shops that charge a higher prepaid surcharge. For example, $150 for entry

There was no discussion about it at all. I had no idea until 30 minutes in when I saw that she had a pad on and didn't take off her underwear. (which threw out most if not all of the extras I would have had in mind considering she was advertised as "open minded"). The massage wasn't that great (quite soft and spent a significant amount of time on the legs) and I had a feeling that she was on on the phone quite a bit.
I wasn't aware of the price discrepancy between shops and the reason behind it (since it's not really advertised anywhere), I guess that's a fair cop and a learning point.
