So when you arrive at Bangkok airport go to the bottom level for Taxis and if the line is too long, go to the private ones to the right the cars are a lot nicer and cheaper than a black car from up stairs
You should download The Grab app, and link your card to it, and this will get you a ride share and food delivery, this will save you from the taxi Mafia that will want to charge you 500 baht everywhere you want to go,
Just use the bank ATM and get some cash out, but you can use your card for most retail purchases and restaurants, there might be some fees, but saves you looking for a currency exchange place
I also recommend you start watching TikTok and search Bangkok this will give you heaps of posts of normal tourist things, places to eat and visit
Go to Khaosan Rd that’s where younger people go to drink and have fun plenty of freelancers,
Nana area for some soapy massage fun, plenty of Kamagra for sale in the area, I visited WoodBar which is part of Annies soapy massage place, $2k baht for full service they have a few good MIlfs working there that go hard,,
MBK shopping centre if you want to do some market shopping and get some decent priced food, than walk along the sky bridge to
Siam Paragon for upmarket Bondi Junction type shopping, eg prada, Tiffany and co etc, i ate at Burgers and Lobster with my girlfriend and it set me back about $4400 baht as tax and service is added
If you get a freelancer take her on a dinner river cruise and you can see the city lights or to any rooftop bar to enjoy the view,
Most important go to chemist warehouse before you leave and buy some decent ribbed condoms, they drive the girls wild
If you are flying economy don’t check in too early, if your luggage is first on the plane, than its last off the plane and waiting for it after a flight isa pain in the arse

Awsome thanks for the info! Especially the taxi part, as in the past we always had a van with her family pick us up.

I have never tried kamagra gel or whatever it’s called so dunno what it does, is it illegal to take viagra there on the plane? As I get that through MOSH online.

    Thanks again

as a side note - I always take my scripts with me just in case for some reason meds go missing or as of proof.
When I travel I have suitcase, a carry on backpack full of 2 days change of clothes and essentials/ expensive things ( laptop) and a small shoulder bag which usually is able to fit inside the backpack.
Any really important stuff passport, money, meds goes in shoulder bag.

A good tip is to take a photo of your scrips and of your meds, and of course of your passport, drivers licence and any other important documents

Thanks for the tips , I never thought of taking pics of the important documents so will definitely do that.

Was just checking with the viagra as I didn’t want to end up in trouble with the Thai authorities.

download Grab, it's an easy way to get around (besides BKK's traffic) but you don't have to haggle with taxi drivers or have no idea where they're going.

100% I mention this in my original comment, most taxi drivers want a minimum $500 baht these days, it’s absolutely crazy,
plus it’s awesome to use around Pattaya too, I left my girlfriends car at the Hilton car park and caught a grab everywhere and was happy to drop a $100 baht tip
The only down fall is trying to get a Grab at 5am to go to the airport so you have to pay the $500 baht for a taxi to the airport,

I'd use grab for the motorcycles, not for the cabs. BKK traffic is insane

VIP guard your passport with your life..if you loose it you can't travel despite having pics of it. Pics are NOT considered a replacement for your passport by immigration.

A few tips adding to the good advice already given:
    - carry a mini wallet in Thailand. Leave your regular wallet and most cards in the hotel safety deposit box. There are pick pockets who work in teams. They can grab you in the crotch to distract you.
    - leave your passport at the hotel. Carry a photocopy.
    - use Grab when you need to for the reasons above. The skytrain is excellent.
    - learn a little Thai language. It helps when you want to say no to a special offer or someone selling things. Eg “mai pen rai” is useful. ….means no problem or no thanks.
    - you can have very frank and very upfront discussions with the working ladies.
    - the women who work on the verandahs outside the go go bars can be good dinner companions. They like to talk. They know what to do inside and outside the hotel room. You will learn a lot.
    - you can buy Kamagra at most pharmacies 100 baht for one. Cheaper on the street and by the box.
    - if you can, go to most red light areas…Cowboy, Nana Plaza, Patpong, Huai Khwang, Sukhumvit Soi 7.
    - tuk tuks can be fun. You should pay about 50 per cent of the initial asking price.
    - the traffic is terrible. I don’t take motorcycle taxis as they take extra risks and can be dangerous. Be real careful crossing the road after a few beers. The traffic and motorbikes can do bizarre things.
    - pay a lot of attention to your bar bill. Bill padding by the staff happens
    - many women are beautiful. Of course, they are driven by self interest and that of their family. The more customers that they can get in one evening is better for them. Similar to WLs here). Some of them would prefer that you buy multiple drinks for them rather than going with you for a “short time”.

all in all besides the mongering, get out there - enjoy the streets, the vibe, the streetfood, the after dark culture. Australia is a ghost town after 5pm most nights, BKK only starts to wake up after the sun goes down. Malls and shops are open late and there's plenty of night markets to walk randomly around.

That’s why you only pay cash, and never give your card details over the phone to people you don’t trust,

Good advice...prostitution is strictly illegal in Thailand.
