Two schools of thought: the Kumbaya school and the Professor Kingsfield school. I'm a graduate of the latter. Human nature (to quote Trink). You get something for free, you don't value it. Give a kid a bike, great, but most will not really take care of it. Now, if they had to work to contribute to the purchase, then, for sure, they take care of it. Why? Sweat equity.
From MY understanding, no paid staff answering questions. So like life, to get some, you have to give some. Where I come from, no letter for showing up. You want to letter, you have to get in the game, contribute for the team. Those standing on the sidelines, cheering, they're called spectators. They're more than welcome, but no varsity letter. At least at the Professor Kingsfield school.
Yes, but most times the fool does not know that he is a fool. Just like a dumb person does not consider himself to be dumb.
I think a different generation of younger punters are rolling in.
The ones very used to tech and forums and memes and find (to me anyway) the oddest shit life alteringly funny.
This new generation ARE also bored. Overstimulated and saturated by "free", as so much today is at our fingertips (like this forum for example).
But you know. Thats the cycle. Im sure we were odd as fuck in our time too, with baggy pants, backwards caps and EDM.
Because of me who tries to achieve 50 posts, so I had to comment silly things
Off season threads are always sillier
