I should have seen the warning signs:
- judgment clouded by back pain
- crowded car park with way too many people milling around
- possible hoarder occupying part of the shop
- greeted late in the day like the first customer of the morning
- unsure if the only staff member was the cleaner or someone’s mum.

But I am an idiot. With my wallet (very) modestly lighter a short time later, my back pain resolved and clarity returned.

I left in Perfect Health. Never to return.
