Who knows
But I go to Ginza instead, for this reason
Was at Kyoto recently, only entrance is through the front door on Commonwealth Street. And as you may know, its not exactly a quiet street.
Google map shows the building has a back door on Commonwealth Lane, and as far as I know most of us would prefer using the back door as its much more discrete and quiet.
So why don't they open up the back door for us?
Who knows
But I go to Ginza instead, for this reason
I've actually had some residents(?) sitting on the balcony across the street yelling out "How was it?" as they saw me leaving.
Atleast is has a little alcove at the front door, so you're not fully out in the open.
Who cares. I use to just walk in with confidence. What does it matter if they see you lol.
